We have been going to Valens for almost 15 years now. We take our young kids ages 2 and 7. There is nice trails in this park as well as a great beach. Camping here is also great. We have always found this place to be clean for the bathrooms to the beach, property and trails.

My daughter and I have been camping every year for a few days at Valens, it's close to home in case we forgot or need something. We are getting a hydro spot which is closer to amenities. From most spots, you need at least a bike to get around and to the beach. We usually drive the car there but... More

Always a nice getaway. Private sites, clean washrooms, water and hydro hookup on site and very close to home! Have been a couple of times now with friends for a weekend and always enjoyed it. We will be back!

I love coming here for hikes with my family, no matter what season. Great views around the lake, lovely scenery and an overall fun hike! Plus the dog loves dipping in the water.

Perfect camping spot for when you don't want to drive far. Very clean facilities and the camping spot we got was big enough for our pop up trailer and another tent with 2 cars parked on site. We booked site 165. Also nice for kayaking and fishing, my daughter had a great time there. Definitely would go back when we... More

I only camped here one night (after the Greenbelt Harvest Picnic) but it was great - they accommodated a very late check-in, and the campsite was large and most of them were close to flush toilets and water spigots. Showers were quite dirty by 9am, and required us to drive to them (although there was no parking), but I can... More

I had a great couple days and night at Valens with my son, I recommend it to anyone looking for a last minute spot that has plenty of availability. The beach, along with the trail with a nice long walking bridge across the reservoir, the Camp Store that’s plopped down right in the middle of the camping area and has... More
