Having heard of the relocation of Canadian Football's Hall of Fame to the fabulous Tim Hortons Field, my Hamilton friend arranged for me and my Toronto host (who is displayed in the Hall) to visit and meet Mark, the Executive Director. Despite very pressing issues (including his luggage lost on his flight in from overseas that very day), Mark took time to walk us through the Hall, point out the many items of interest and chat with my knowledgeable colleagues.

We marvelled at the excellent wall tableaux of famous players, managers, reporters and others. Mark and the team have done a brilliant job.

From the Hall, high up in the stadium where the TV commentators sit and report, we had a birds eye view of the field and the football team practicing. Such a unique experience!

Is this titbit only amusing to a Brit? At the far end of the field there's a spot that I'm reliably informed spectators can sit in a hot tub to watch the game. Is this really true and is this uniquely Canadian? Can't see it happening at the Arsenal ground without VERY rude chants.

It was a truly absorbing and fascinating visit with much to see and learn. I have to say it was a highlight of my Canadian vacation.

The Hall of Fame must be seen by all Canadians (and possibly those south of the border) with an interest in the game to appreciate the long, successful history of Canadian football!

Hidden from the Main Street it is a great wee find. They do charge entry though reasonable. I visited 25minutes before closing so was no cost. Need an hour or so to see everything. A trip down nostalgia lane plus important exhibits. Well worth a visit. Ensures museum stays open too. So support our football history.

Went in expecting an average experience and was pleasantly surprised. Other than the guy who sold us out tickets, who clearly didn't want to be there, we had good interactions with all staff.
Some things are slightly run down or not working properly, but nothing's perfect. Memorabilia was pretty good and the cup was in residence so that was pretty cool to see (again, for me. First time for the others in my group.).
Overall, definitely happy I went. As a huge BC Lions fan I was happy to see all teams fairly represented. Good highlight of my time in Hamilton so far.

We visited the Cndn Football Hall of Fame on a Friday afternoon in June. It seemed they weren't expecting visitors and it took a few minutes for someone to get us our tickets. We were not welcomed in the least and the staff acted as if we were a nuisance.
There was no explaination about the museum and we just started heading in , as it turned out we went in backwards, but it really doesn't matter as the place is not very interesting at all. One room is full of busts of the members of the Hall of Fame, that was useless. Another room had some artifacts but nothing really all that exciting. A few video clips but none of the exhibits seem to be from this century. I am not sure why it exists; given no one goes and no one cares...

The price was good for what you got to see. I think it should of been located at the stadium. I believe they could of had some more stuff there. It didn't take us long to go through there. Not what I expected. The location is very strange.

The football hall of fame should relocate to somewhere inside the Tim Horton's stadium. It's current location has been a poor drawing card for the city and this location could be better suited for a Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as Hamilton is well known for its musicians and studios.
Nonetheless, move it to the stadium, it will make more money there through selling merchandise, having special events, inductions etc.

Great way for a sports enthusiast to spend an hour. Great price $10. And $5. for seniors. Grey cup was there! I was not overly excited to go but went with a friend and enjoyed it. Great staff. Great location, right dowtown.

I had season tickets for the Hamilton Tiger Cats for over 22 years and when I finally took my son to see the Canadian Football Hall of Fame I was quite disappointed with the exhibits and in fact the whole experience. I suppose I expected more but was upset at trying to get my son to feel the CFL is every bit as good as the NFL and he was visibly bored. Not worth the price of admission!
