I have emailed left voice mail called over and over again with no one answering phone and fb message to switch a game date and time. For a week in advance. No response but they took my deposit…their website wasn’t allowing me to rebook and their answering machine was generic it didn’t even say the crux…I said that concerned me when I left a message it makes me worried it’s gone out of business or something is going on with covid restrictions…then today I called again and voice mail fixed so someone retrieved my message and no call back and I see they viewed my fb message but again no response…

Great experience as someone who has done many before! The puzzles were challenging and fun, perfect for my novice friends as well. We were so close to the end, the game master (person watching over us) kindly gave us extra time!!! So sweet! But unfortunately, we weren't able to complete it...that's how you know it's challenging! Will go back for the other games!

First time experiencing an escape room (although the rest of my team had experience), we did Area 51 and it was awesome! We didn't solve it in time though, but that's on us. The staff was friendly and helpful.
They have also set up proper protocols for COVID-19. I would return again.

My friends and I recently went to the aunt Edna’s condo room. Although the staff was very nice and accommodating, the room was much too easy. My friends and I got out in under 25 minutes, when we were prepared for 50. Most of the puzzles were pretty base level and did not require very much problem solving. However the rooms decor was cool and fitting to the theme of the room. The room could have been improved by adding more puzzles, or making them more challenging. For example not just putting mugs or books in chronological order... but having to figure out the correct order based on another problem. I would not recommend this room to someone, however it was a cool concept and the staff was very nice.

Thanks for your review, 398jodif. We're sorry Aunt Edna's Condo wasn't up to your groups difficulty level. We have had a change in management, and with that we have retired Aunt Edna's Condo. I would like to encourage you to come back and try one of our other experiences for a better challenge.

Great experience. As a family of teens we tried the "The Cell". Decor etc was great. Puzzles varied in complexity. Over all perfect level for us. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and plan to return to try a different room.

My 2 girlfriends and I do a lot of escape rooms, we’ve pretty much done all the rooms in our area except we had never tried the Crux. We decided to try “Those meddling kids” and we were sooo disappointed. When we finished the room with 20 minutes to spare, we weren’t even sure we had finished because you’re not even opening a door to finish. This room is full of locks with clues within those locks for the next locks. There’s little to nothing you can pick up and look at in this room (it’s all decoration) If you’re used to the rooms that have the excitement factor of things moving/popping up or other props like phones, computers, puzzles basically anything that’s not just a lock this room is not for you. When we got out with 20 minutes to spare we felt the urge to do another room but the girl working didn’t seem confident that the other rooms would be better, so we called a different company and they got us a last minute booking for that evening. Very weary of trying another room at the Crux as I feel this room was a waste of money.

My wife and I have done a few rooms together now, and decided to try two Crux rooms in one night. We did Aunt Eda's Condo and Those Meddling Kids. It was nice to play a seasonal themed room. We escaped from both, and had a great time. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were fun. We'd go back again.

What a fun time, six people went into the room, we of course did not make it.
I have recommend this to all my friends, what a hoot, going again for sure of course to a different room.

We planned a fun night out with 2 other couples. We would have preferred the other room but it was already booked. Room was pretty empty. We felt the room could have been made more interesting. The puzzles were challenging and over it was a fun night out. The game master was terrible. There was a malfunction with one of the locks, it was clear we had the right code and tried for over 10 min before she came in, stopped the clock, removed the box that was locked and returned with the item inside. Told us it was our fault, we had reset the lock when putting in the code. Did not give us any additional time, did not give us our hint back ( we asked for a clue about why the lock wasn't opening, she then gave us a clue leading us back to the same code we already had). After our time was up, she made it very clear it was our fault we reset the lock and said there was another group coming in so we needed to leave. We all left very frustrated by the whole experience. I can't believe she let us waste 10 min trying to open a lock when we were saying the correct code out loud. We didn't stand a chance to get out in the amount of time given with faulty equipment. There was no attempt to compensate us the night of. Since then we sent an email and we have been offered to go back to a different room at a discounted rate. We will give this place another try, hopefully we won't have the same game master.

I see on The Crux website that there is a spot to redeem vouchers. Where are the vouchers avaliable for purchase?
Written January 23, 2018
Hi, you can purchase the vouchers through our website or in store at any of our 5 locations. There's a button on the website to purchase a voucher. It is against TripAdvisor policy to provide a direct link here, but its clearly noted on our website the button to purchase a voucher. Thanks!
