After strolling around Jones Falls, dine at the Kenny Hotel, reservations needed.

It's a great place to picnic and explore. All ages will enjoy seeing the lock and lift cycle. A bit of stair climbing involved for those that want to see more.

The locks along the Rideau Canal are all interesting in their own ways but at Jones Falls one can see a lock master's house and read a log of the activity through his locks in one year. You can also visit a blacksmith's forge and...More

I was fortunate to see the locks in operation during my visit here. It is a wonder of modern engineering.

The Rideau Canal with its locks and boats is a great place to visit and have a picnic in summer. Swimming is also great at Jones Falls!

We have come up through the locks at Jones Falls many times with family and love to dock overnight above the locks. It is a fantastic location with beautiful sunsets. Walking down to the Lockmaster's House, watching other boats come up through the locks and...More

One of the most beautiful places on the rideau canal, watch the boats lock thru on a summer day. Take your own picnic and enjoy under the big maple trees or have lunch or dinner at The historical Hotel Kenney overlooking the water.

This was a lovely spot. Beautiful maintained area around the locks. The locks are operated by park rangers and it is great to watch the boats passing through. There are no refreshments so best to take a picnic as its a good spot to relax

Love the old damn and the historical significance of such. Also found it fascinating to see the wooden sluice the the hydro station. Something about seeing such large pipes and then knowing they are made of wood and still going strong for over 70 years.
