Quiet walking paths in the heart of Kingston, Ontario offers mostly paved walking paths with a few nice hills to challenge the legs and gluts! It is also a very safe area so walking alone is not a problem. Great views of Lake Ontario and if you happen to be there at sunset, it's spectacular!

The park has recently had a massive renovation, and is now beautiful. There's a splash pad and climber for kids, picnic area with a shelter, clean bathrooms and beautiful waterfront. Lots of shady areas to get out of the sun. Great place for any age to relax and rejuvenate.

Haven't been here in over 30 years but, boy, was I overjoyed by the transformation. This west-facing park situated on a slope overlooking Lake Ontario has something for everyone - water activities (swimming and boating), sandboxes for the kids, trees, grass, walkways, and facilities for everyone. I was especially impressed by the view, sitting on well-placed benches at the top... More

Recently updated, this waterfront park has lots of walking trails, cobble beaches with sand areas, clean washrooms, and a sand volleyball court. Performance areas and many different functions happen here. Great views of Lake Ontario, of course! Lots of fun for everyone!

We were in Kingston for the long Labor Day weekend and there was an old car exhibit in the park. The exhibit was great and the park is beautiful. Glad we stopped by.

We went for a family picnic (teens) and enjoyed our picnic table in the shade under mature trees. There is a wonderful, large splash-pad area for younger kids, which was very popular, along with the two sand-pit areas along the shore. Currently, the traditional park area (swings, slide etc) are some distance away from the splash-pad area and the road... More

Went there with my family on July 31 and rather disappointed. Walking along the trail in the park, the view to the lake is nothing special. If you look at the other side of the trail, you can see either commercial or school building that obviously doesn't fit in. The park itself was not clean and there was a stench... More

When for a visit to lake ontario park was disappointed. This park was once a centres of the community. When I was a kid in the 70s abd 80s. I remember bands and dancing there. Back then there were also fireworks on holidays. When the amusement part moved it gave the city a chance to keep some of the community... More

A great deal of money was invested in this area recently. A kids' splash pad was added and parking areas improved. A building was added with restrooms and provision for small events. There are very few. The city also renovated a boat launch area, but it's on such a steep grade that only a brave boater would use it. Inexplicably,... More
