Visited Bellevue House over the long weekend and we loved our visit! Located outside of downtown and close to Kingston Pen. The location is beautiful. The have the Canada 150 sign out front AND the red chairs - definitely an extra perk. All the docents were friendly and kind. Marley was our tour guide and was awesome! She did such... More

Great tour with lots of interesting artifacts. House is very unique. The gardens are beautiful. Ella made the tour interactive and pointed out the more interesting items in each room. They gave a booklet to the children in our group with questions about items for them to locate. Made the rooms more interesting for them. Worth a visit.

My daughter and I visited this attraction on the long weekend and took part in the guided tour. The house itself is fascinating and the tour recommended - the information and facts provided really enhance the visit.

Tour Guide: Andrea We were here on Opening day. A beautiful sunny day. We had a really lovely visit and tour with Bellevue House. Left exactly as it was. Hostess is very knowledgeable. It's really very interesting to see how they lived back then. The bathtubs, the kitchen, the beds. Its hard to imagine living in that era. Thanks to Kingston for keeping that life alive

This is the home of Canada's First Prime Minister Sir John A. MacDonald. They say that sometimes at night lanterns can be seen moving in the hallway in the windows upstairs.

It's been a few years since I was there. It's a great place and every visitor to Kingston should try to make time to see it.

Beautiful old house and great character players entertain, serve and educate you on the life and times of our first Prime Minster's time here. We did the afternoon tea in the garden. I was with my English MIL and she loved it. They had teas, and lemon curd and edible flowers from the garden. Tea is set up under marquees... More

Interesting info about John A MacDonald , although he did not live there very long. The house itself is well-preserved and a good added touch were the guides in period costume who were very helpful
