The building and the staff are wonderful, but I wouldn't recommend going to play shinny hockey unless you have experience. I wanted to start playing hockey because I had to stop playing the last one I was doing, but since I was new to hockey and not "AAA" level, most guys you'd play with during the week wont want anything to do with you. Since I wasn't on their skill level, I was made fun of, not passed to, was a target for slew-footing, and was overall ignored by most guys on the ice.
INVISTA says that their shinny hockey is for all skill levels, however I was told not to come back if I can't keep my head up.
Bit of a shame, since I've been an NHL fan for years, and now I have no where locally to play.

First of all the in vista centre is probably a great sports venue, but is sorely lacking when you have the original hockey hall of fame. We took our two grandsons who are hockey fans which turned out to be a major disappointment. I understand that it is donations that are accepted, but you could at least have someone there to explain things or at least have the interactive items which none of them did.the Don Cherry exhibit or the theatre wasn’t working all in all a total disappointment. Save your donations for church!!!!!!

Have had the pleasure of utilizing this arena for many events. The ice surfaces are well maintained, the front desk staff are very friendly, and the Arena is clean. The canteen has a terrific selection of various food choices.

Nice big new facility. Not overly clean - and they don't sell water bottles. Annoying... what sports complex doesn't sell water bottles.
Ice was ok and washrooms were kept clean throughout the busy weekend.

This arena was awesome. Something like 4 ice pads with large screens in the lobby to see whats coming up. Excellent for the hockey tournament we were at. The wifi worked well (ish). Some of the changing rooms were a little small but many of the rinks are. good work Kingston. What`s an Invista anyways though? Perhaps you should throw up some interpretive panels or something.

Four ice pads with plenty of comfortable seating located just off the 401. What a great place for a hockey tournament. If your not big into hockey, bring your workout wear and hit the gym located in the building while the kids play hockey. Great fries and snacks available in the canteen but restaurants near by. Right next door you will find a n excellent deli, burritos, pita pit, St. Louis Ribs (excellent burgers), and Red House. 5 minutes down Gardiners Rd. is the Cataraqui Shopping Centre with a huge food court and plenty of shopping you can do between games. 2 budget friendly newer hotels also right at the 401 exit if your are able choose the Ambassador with its indoor water slide for the kids. Come to Kingston and be sure to visit the downtown waterfront between games.

Our son had a hockey tournament here, great facility, very big, clean, and well-serviced. Loved their eco-initiatives -- no-water urinals, low-flow toilets, energy-saving construction...

Our only complaint would be that the dressing rooms are incredibly small.
