Bonus points: On the way back over to the mainland, we were in a long line of cars that snaked down the road, on the shoulder. As the line started moving, some jerk decided he was going to drive farther up the line and... More

This island is a gateway to the USA and worth a visit. Worth hiring a bike to get around. Lots of wild life to see. A very peaceful place.

This is a free ferry that takes you over to Wolfe Island. It is fun trip to take in the summer either by car, bike or walk. The island is very laid back and not very busy. The roads are flat and good to ride on.

If you are just going for the ferry ride and do not intend to explore Wolfe Island, then leave your car in the parking lot next to the Ferry lineup, this way you can do the round trip in just over an hour. Want to visit Wolfe Island? Want to have a nice 20 minutes ride on lake Ontario? Take the Wolfe Islander III. In Summer, you can cross over to the USA and/or have a good meal at the Wolfe Island grill in Marysville. Go for a swim, have fun at the beautiful Sandy beach!

Best of all it is free ! No matter the weather, anyone who takes the trip gets to see Canada's roots, history wrapped around a sense of what makes the region and our Country a special place on earth. All condensed into a twenty minute ride where within a five minute walk on either side you can have some homespun... More

The ferry to Wolfe Island runs every hour or 2, provides some great views of Royal Military College and Fort Henry, as well as 4 of the 1000 Islands and is free (as part of the provincial transportation system). In the summer, the dock on Wolfe Island is minutes from the Marysville 'hub' on foot...in winter, you should drive. In... More
