Quite an experience, I come here with my wife and we have such a wonderful time. The ponds are beautiful and the walkway is amazing. Definitely gonna revisit in the future.

While visiting London, Ontario, my wife and I decided to hike the Westminster Ponds. There are several trails to follow, some "paved" and some natural soil. There are some boardwalks also. Due to recent inclement weather, the natural paths were muddy and we chose not to continue. There is a lot to see; ponds, waterfowl, coyotes, and greenery once everything starts blooming. It was s nice enjoyable stroll. There are also two totems posted by the Welcome Centet that are very artistic.

Great place for a casual walkabout and lots of opportunity for bird watching and other wildlife observations. Trails and tracks quickly become waterlogged, be sure to wear appropriate footwear if it has recently, rained.

I recently visited westminster ponds for a winter hike and it will now be a tried and true go to. The trails were not crowded, it was fun to see people skating on the ice. I saw 4 hawks, including a red tailed Hawk eating his meal up in a tree. Lovely well managed trails with plenty of birds to see.

Living in London and this year being cautious about where we go, it was our goal to explore some of the hiking trails in the city. We parked at the London Tourism Welcome Centre, 696 Wellington Road and walked in.
After taking a pic of the map, we decided on the loop that circles Spettigue Pond. 4km in 1 hour, 10 minutes, at a strolling pace.
I was happy that I wore running shoes rather than sandals. Lots of tree roots to step over in many areas. Very nice dock overlooking Spettigue to see the size of the pond and take some nice pics. Some small uphill and down.
I wouldn't recommend walking here soon after a rainfall. Dirt paths definitely would be slippery.

Any season Westminster Ponds is a great place to hike, trails are well marked, you can jog through or go at your own pace. Plenty of opportunity for the photo enthusiast to take great pictures.

Westminister ponds was a very interesting place. A lovely. view of the water from the dock..Trials are a bit muddy and can easily get lost, or fall off trail. Beware of coyotes at dusk . Loved seeing Veterans village . The church and building were interesting and old . It would be nice to see more of the insides, and learn about the history of the building. The structure may be unsafe that why tours may not be a good idea . Maybe in the future with renovation that will change. There is also a captains lookout tower , swell that would be nice to see and hear more about the history. There is so much nature and environment. ready to be explored, and nice to see nature preserved.

We were there on August 12, 2019. It is beautiful, we loved it. There are yellow arrows to show the right path..but at some point we got lost, at it took us close to 1 hr to find the correct way back. There should be signs with the name of the ponds, with numbers like on the map and also signs mentioning to the right you go to Southdale Rd...or to the left to Wellington Rd, etc. That way we can use the map provided at Tourist information. Thanks.

I’ve seen people fishing behind the school in Pond Mills. Can’t fish @ Fish & Games Club without membership!

Is this an overgrown, unmarked area as another reviewer mentioned? Will we be able to safely take our small child with us and not get lost? Thanks!
