De Code Adventures offers live action, team-based games. Players (4-6) are “locked” in a room and must explore their surroundings (discover clues, solve puzzles, and perform tasks) to “escape”. Games are meant to follow a distinct theme with puzzles that follow a set narrative. Each game ought to take no more than 60 minutes. My wife and I visited De Code Adventures yesterday with our daughter (17) and son (15). The facility currently offers three games (“Mission: Quazar”, “The Mutagen Effect”, and “The Darkest Hour”). We attempted the “Mission: Quazar” challenge and, unfortunately, failed. “Mission: Quazar” is an extremely difficult challenge, even for veterans like us, boasting only a 5% success rate without hints. The adventure needs to be retooled! Case and point, it took us experts 20 minutes and a hint just to get past the adventure’s first puzzle, and we have successfully completed 14 separate escape games in the last year alone. Regrettably, everyone in the group left the adventure at the end of 60 minutes frustrated, disappointed, and angry. Not fun! Maybe you will have better luck than us. Between four and six players can play this alien-themed game. Look for De Code Adventures at 6620 Kitimat Road in the Ontario municipality of Mississauga. Except for Tuesdays, the facility is open daily for gameplay. Book your adventure online. Admission is $26.99 per player (excluding tax), and participants must sign a waiver. Outside food is not permitted in the facility, and currently masks are mandatory. Be sure everyone on your team arrives at least 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled game time so gameplay can start on time.…

We’ve been to many escape rooms and so far, whenever we are bringing new people and want to be sure of a quality experience, we choose De Code. If you’ve not tried an escape room before, it’s a must do and bring at least 3 friends/family members as everyone has a different way of thinking that contributes to the experience. By quality, I mean multiple rooms, puzzles that all work, not hearing things going on in adjacent rooms, helpful staff, etc. De Code has all of that with games of varying levels of difficulty. This time, we did The Mutagen Effect and it was awesome! We were also awarded time for free board game play and they have a really extensive offering of games, a great room, and an offering of snacks in case you get hungry. Plus, if you follow them on social, you get a discount. Parking is easy and free right next to the door. …

It's not just a great escape but also an incredible board game cafe with some delicious snacks and great games selection. The game itself was twisted and we failed but it definitely was interesting and quite challenging.

This review is just for the gaming cafe area. While they also have a few escape rooms as well, we only used the games cafe. It was my first visit. And I must say parking was a challenge! Both the escape rooms and cafe we very busy! And we got there around 4pm ! I came with some friends to get some serious board game play!!! And I must say I am beyond grateful I brought 3 of my own games from home... because all the games I waned to play were either already being used or not available. :((((. The employees didn’t seem to care about finding a game I wanted.... but were really happy to make our beverages and snacks. All in all.... we had a great time playing my games. But it would have been way better if they had more comfortable chairs. We would all go again :)…

5 people locked in a hot, tiny room with LEGO and duplo all over the floor... my worst nightmare. Clues were a stretch at best and most clues involved some form of math... measurement, tangrams and multiplication. So if you suck at math, this is not the room for you. Not our favourite experience. Been to better escape rooms in the city. Staff were great and friendly. …
