About
The crashing waters of Niagara Falls—comprising two American falls and one Canadian—are truly a sight to behold. Get up close on a boat ride (be prepared to get soaked!), enjoy amazing aerial views from the Skylon Tower or on a helicopter tour, stroll along the White Water Walk, or hit the Journey Behind the Falls attraction that offers views of the falls from below and behind. Adventure seekers can also go zip-lining, jet-boating, hiking and cycling with the falls as the backdrop. For a truly magical experience, stay after dark when the falls are illuminated. For peak water flow, visit between June and August. – Tripadvisor

The place for you if you like waterfalls...
If you go as we did from east to west of the country you'll be amazed at what you see. I'd say go on bus trip - guides know history, info of places as you go, know as ours did where to look for wild bears and alert you if they see one on trip. We saw Niagara Falls Canada and America due to a boat ride, the Canadian being the prettier. Newfoundland saw us whale watching - how we didn't end up in the sea due to a whale hitting the boat I'll never know! Banff a lovely region with Rockies, lakes, waterfalls, snow in the summer brings lovely photos.

I like the US side better
Eh, this was a beautiful view. My birthday last year was busy and I didn’t enjoy the Canada side as much. This year was different, much more room and beautiful views. Side tangent: usually the Canadians are nice going in and the US has attitude coming back in. I’ve spent 5 hours in a line for my son to point and say I was his mom and we look similar!! Okay US, catch the real criminals. But this time the Canadian woman was having a bad life day or something bc I’d swear she was straight from the hood in the US. So damn rude. US was great. Back to it.. I like the park better on the US side because it’s not as commercialized but Canada has great shopping.

    Mesmerizing and Ever Changing Falls
Love seeing the Canadian Horseshoe Falls! From our hotel we could watch the ever-changing mist, the lights at night and the fireworks at 10pm. We enjoyed the view from the restaurant in the visitor's center and from the tower restaurant. Then we toured the old tunnel and were awe-struck by the view from the viewing platform down near the water's edge. Over two days there, we never got tired of looking at it. Mesmerizing! And from the Canadian side, you can see the Horseshoe Falls as well as the smaller American Falls.

One of the best experiences of my life
The excitement at seeing the falls were palable from our tour party. The views are absolutely stunning, however you view them. The raw power of both Falls is amazing and will stay with me for a very long time. There are places to eat near the Falls, there is also a zipline, furnacular and of course the boat ride which we did. Had a look in one gift/tourist shop but didn't venture any further, we didn't have a lot of time. Would definately go back and stay at Niagra itself.

    Spectacular and all worth it!
Visiting Horseshoe Falls or the Canadian side of Niagara Falls had always been on my bucket list. During my visit to Canada, it was my ultimate destination. I went there on a day tour with some friends based in Ontario. I booked my Niagara Falls cruise ahead of time, while I bought my "Journey Behind the Falls" ticket when I got there. The cruise to the falls was amazing, as well as the visit behind the falls. Afterwards we had a hearty lunch at the Table Rock Restaurant overlooking the falls and then roam around Clifton Hill. Everything went great. Highly recommended! 😀

World class views, everything is overpriced
The Falls and some of the attractions are world class , you could never tire of looking at the falls truly amazing. But pretty much everything else is a total rip off. Costs for food and drinks are hugely overpriced Around the falls there are some lovely maintained green spaces lots of trees and flowers . But just outside the falls the local areas seem very rundown and scruffy , lots of boarded up shops and businesses, not very nice at all. If you do go plan your stay carefully, travelling in and out by car is always busy, lots of accommodation looks run down and scruffy and as I stated everything is vastly overpriced. Get in ,do your chosen attractions and then Get out.

My 5th visit to the amazing Niagara Falls
This was my 5th visit to Niagara Falls, and they never fail to amaze. From my first visit in 1971 to my latest visit this past summer, it's easy to get lost in time and to simply stare in amazement at the natural beauty of the incredible falls. I look forward to my next visit.

    Must Visit
The most amazing fireworks daily during the summer season while the falls are light up. Check the website to make sure the show time, go at least 20 min prior to secure your spot along the railings. They will give you 10 min heads up prior to the show, in case you go to grab a cup of coffees!!

Beautiful waterfall, interesting city, really crowded
Niagara Falls is undoubtedly beautiful, but it's packed with tourists, and when I visited, it was scorching hot (during the Labour Day weekend). If you're not into crowds an you might not enjoy as much. On the bright side, there are plenty of restaurants and activities to keep you busy.

Beautiful Falls! We took the behind the falls tour. It is priced at a very reasonable rate. The lower deck was closed due to weather, however, you do get to view the falls up close and personable through an opened window and opened area. You can feel the power of the falls vibrating the walls of the tunnels. The water is a beautiful color that is due to the minerals that are in it. Make sure to bring your camera for great photo opportunities. There were a lot of people on the day we visited but we were still able to go through in a short period of time so it is not an all day event.

We stayed within walking distance and walked to and around the falls twice while we were there. Being the second week of January ,the was no crowd to speak of. The falls/river were not iced over but all the fencing around was coated. It was an 8 hour drive from vermont but it is worth the drive, espically with the lights on at night so pretty,so powerful!!

My wife and myself live in Brampton about 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the falls and we often visit the falls as we enjoy the walk along Niagara Parkway watching the American and Canadian Falls.

When you get along the Canadian Falls you often get a nice mist that keeps you cool and slightly wet, which is amazing on a Hot Day. You simply can never get bored of the falls... well if you stay for more than 3 days you might as you seen it to many times day after day lol! 2 days max is good.

If you want to pay for premium food restaurants and want the experience than Clifton Hills and Victoria Ave will give you that. Just come knowing your budget will need to be a few hundred dollars per day for 2 people.

If you want a discount trip with experience I recommend the restaurants and outlets down Lundy’s Lane past on or after Drummond Rd. That will save you a few hundred dollars.

I also recommend a trip to Niagara on The Lake... a good intersection is Queen St and King St. If you google it you will find it. Spectacular views and shops here. Great place to hang out if you stay for a few days.

Cheers!

I went during covid times, so all business along the Falls were closed.
If you go while still there is daylight, you can see the birds swaying in the wind. At night, they become shining particles, burning on and off.

Unforgettable the first time that you saw the falls at night, the brilliance of
the lightning and the colorful haze sync to create an atmospheric place to breathe.

Absolute must for everyone. I think these falls are one of the most beautiful sights in the whole country. Go early morning at sunrise, when the air is so fresh and the area is not crowded yet. Make sure to take a boat ride into the falls, and heads up for starbucks goers, the prices are quite a bit higher than locations outside falls area.

The tumble of the water over the falls was mesmerizing. Part of me had to resist the urge to leap over the lip along with all that water. The view is free and open to the public, but if you want to park nearby, prepare to pay a premium. If you are OK with walking a bit, it gets cheaper further away.

Visited recently at the beginning of January 2020 and even though it was cold we wrapped up warm. The views and falls are stunning I’ve been here on several occasions and always enjoy my stay. Lots of nice places to eat and loads of activities and attractions I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Only 5% of Tourists are here now, walking around enjoying socially distancing in a covid free zone. Great Hotel prices throughout the Falls though up to $50 extra parking costs per day may have you staying at Cadillac Motel for hassle free parking included. Some Restaurants like Bravo have closed for good like many small Business. Public bathrooms only existed at the Canada Outlet Mall with one person allowed in at a time Guarded by Security. Tim Hortons and McDonalds allowed customer washroom facilities. Great vacation stay overall with very Friendly Locals as per usual. Many Thanks.

I wish I could split this into two reviews. My first review is of the falls. They are amazing, I have never seen anything that compares to them. I could sit and watch them for hours in awe of their power and grandness. It makes me sad that humans were able to come and turn it into a tourist attraction before society had the foresight to protect places like this by turning them into national parks. Can you imagine how spectacular these falls would look inside an undisturbed natural landscape? It would without a doubt be one of the best national parks in the world. To see these massive waterfalls and the gorge with raging rapids flowing through them would be something unforgettable.

This brings me to the other part of my review, the town of Niagara Falls. Everytime I come here it feels more and more like Las Vegas East. Gaudy casinos and tourist attractions line the streets. Souvenir shops are everywhere. I hate that instead of being surrounded by nature these waterfalls have casino signs and hotels as a backdrop. At least on the American side a state park acts as a small buffer from development but you can't escape that these falls now exist to sell things to tourists.

The view from Canada is gorgeous. The falls are a true sight to be seen. I recommend buying one of the passes they offer to really get a bang for your buck and the WEGO bus system is a true asset.
