Nothing to see here as all the plants were dead. It’s a “free” thing to do when the wethers nice. Parking here is $5 per hour. Butterfly conservatory on site.

Free admission but just a garden without tender loving care. While we were waiting for our bus to Niagara on the Lake, we popped by the Botanical Gardens and left after 10 minutes.

Go to the botanical gardens and butterfly conservatory! Early morning is a great time to avoid the crowd and get the quiet beauty all to yourself.

We visited the garden on June 30. There is parking. They charge CAD 5 per hour. The rose garden is beautiful, but the rest is not worth it.

Huge acreage! But only area to left of the parking lot was tended. I’m glad we came. Maybe a little underwhelming after visiting other botanical gardens. We chose to not spend the money on the butterfly conservatory. Pay to park. Part of a beautiful drive from the falls.

I was looking for a place for my morning walk. I rode the WeGo bus out to the Botanical Gardens. Great place for a stroll or a brisk walk. The paved paths were level and clean which made it easy to walk at a good pace and not worry about my footing.
As it was May 24th, not a lot was in bloom. The grass was recently cut and smelled great. There was "secret garden" that you had to pass through a garden gate (latched, not locked) that contained lots of colorful blooming bushes. I have a feeling the fence was to keep the deer out.
I expect more blooming flowers as the season progresses.
I did enjoy a cherry cheese Danish after my walk.
It would be a great place to let the kids run free after being contained on a tour.

It has potential, but in our August visit the cafe was closed and the rose garden was fenced off. There are still worthwhile plants and trees to see, so my advice is to visit the Butterfly Conservatory and then wander through the gardens. Two hours in the BC parking lot should be fine.

We visited the gardens in the morning of August 2 and were extremely disappointed to see how weeds had taken over much of the gardens; it was saddening to say the least. We visited in 2020 during the pandemic and things were bad then too but we were hopeful the situation had improved but regrettably it had not. We saw that the staff were working hard but there didn’t seem to be enough of them to deal with the scale of the problem. Perhaps volunteer help would be a good idea or abandoning some of the gardens to concentrate efforts on a manageable size area could be considered.

I live near NYC and this garden, while a fraction of the size, gives the NY Botanical Garden a run fir its money. Worth the visit

The botanical gardens have lovely arrangements of well-manicured, beautiful flowers. Gorgeous, especially for photos.
