If you purchase tickets to see the 3D movie, you receive a $10 discount on a meal if you choose to eat in the restaurant. Make your dinner reservation first - you are then entitled to go to the TOP and experience the observation desk free of charge. The 4:30pm - 5:00pm early bird dinner is a good deal, especially if you have the $10.00 discount ticket from the 3D movie. The service was fabulous; the dinner was so delicious and filling. They also provide you with a generous basket of fresh baked bread. I would highly recommend visiting the Skylon Tower and be sure to top it off with dinner in the revolving restaurant. The sites are breathtaking! Treat yourself.

The Skellen Falls Observation Tower was completed and opened in 1965. Although it has a history of nearly 60 years, it can be seen that the hardware facilities are somewhat old, but it is still a good place to appreciate the magnificent Niagara Falls from a high place. The observation deck is 236 meters away from the river surface of Niagara Falls. It is an open space. You can enjoy the beauty of the waterfall from all angles without looking through the glass and experience the shocking feeling of the waterfall pouring into the river valley like thousands of galloping horses. If you have enough budget, you can dine in the revolving restaurant in the tower (there is a minimum consumption amount). After the meal, you can go to the observation deck for free.

Not to be missed! Great view of the falls! We had dinner at the buffet and were lucky to have a table on the windowsill overlooking the falls, but we could have come across a view of the city, this part is not revolving unlike the Ă la carte restaurant. Access to the outdoor terrace is included in the Dinner Award. On the Canadian side, Skylon Tower and Power Station day and night seem the best attractions to do. On the American side, the Terrapin point of the Goat Island and the view of Luna Island complete the tour of the falls.

Base of tower is sadly outdated. Only one elevator worked. Food was outrageously expensive. Required minimum is $49 per person. Meatball appetizer was not great. Shrimp & scallops Provençal was over cooked. Caesar salad was terrible as the dressing was watery and the lettuce was not crisp. We ordered 3 apps each (told that was required) we had two drinks. Total came to $225 CAD with tip.
While it was cool to sit and dine in a revolving restaurant, 75% of the view is of empty parking lots and deteriorating real estate. You can pay to get up to the observation deck if you want to see the falls from above.
Save your money and choose a better restaurant and just get a ticket to go to the observatory.

Amazing dinner and views from Skylon Tower today. We ate at the buffet restaurant, delicious selection of foods with starter, mains, desserts, cheese & coffee/tea for $50 per head (ÂŁ37) Staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.
Parking is so easy in the town, even for the motorhome with multiple parking lots offering all day parking for $5-10

Many reviewers comment that any restaurant with a view of the Falls demands high prices and serves mediocre food. Mostly true. Our experience at the Skylon Restaurant did confirm the high prices for everything....drinks, main courses, desserts, and wine. However the food was excellent. We had the prime rib, which was cooked to perfection and one the best I have ever had. We were only 3 people, and although you cannot reserve a window table, we were lucky to be seated at one at the time of our reservation. The service was very good and we did not feel rushed through the meal. The servers are always around if you need them. Our visit was a special occasion and a highlight of our weekend. Make a reservation as far ahead of time as you can.

If you are planning to visit Canda side of Niagara falls from USA, I would recommend going through the Peace Bridge rather than the Rainbow Bridge as the wait times are shorter. e.g. When we went on a saturday the wait time on Rainbow bridge was 60mins while that on Peace Bridge was 10minutes. The skylon tower provides the best view of Niagara falls in my opinion. There wasn't a long wait time (less than 10 mins). Once you are up there there's glass enclosed area as well as open air area. It's best to take a fleece or light jacket as the open air area is a bit chilly. It was pretty windy too up there so be prepared for that. Overall it took about an hour from the point of parking the car to going up and coming back down.

Correct price, for a priceless view of the waterfalls, both the American and Canadian ones. Using elevator 3, view of the horseshoe even when going up or down. The games room on the ground floor is a true museum of 70s games

Niagara Falls is not so Big city, and almost all tourist are trying to make best view picture there close to falls. But this tower is also a good variant to find it. High enough, you definitely will do your great shot here 🫰🏻 enjoy the best panoramic views of the Falls and surrounding city from 236 meters above the Niagara

Definitely a great view of the Falls, but very windy. It's also very confusing as they only had one door to go outside from and a different one to come back in. However, the one to come back in was not marked at all, and all the other doors were locked. Several people were wandering around the tower on the outside just trying to find which door was unlocked. I found it very expensive, just to go up and get blown around while trying to look at the falls. They con you into getting some photos as well downstairs before you even can get anywhere near the elevators to go up.

Written August 27, 2023
Yes. The best that I remember it was $10.00. Should be able to confirm on-line.

Do they still have the photo booth where you can get a picture of yourself going down the falls in a barrel?

What’s on the observation deck? Are there tables up there that you can sit at to watch the view?
Written October 18, 2022
No, It is a walk around in a circle to view the entire city and river view. to the best of my knowledge people don't spent that much time at the tower, because it is not a closer view from the top.
Again I don't mislead you, if I didn't pay close look about the seating facility, because it was not of any concern about me. Our tour guide gave us limited time - including waiting in line both ways to go up and down.

Where do you park for Skylon Tower?
Written October 15, 2019
we stayed at a hotel not that far so we were within walking distance. I did see a few parking lots around. We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton with the Ruth Chris attached and it was a 5 min walk away.

I am confused by the "Day/Night Pass" for the Observation Deck. There is an entry in the FAQ section of the Skylon website that states:
"How long does the Observation Deck, Day and Night pass last?
The Day/Night pass is valid for 2 escalations per person between the time of redemption and the end of the next business day, (24 hours)"
So, if we arrive at 5PM on a Monday evening, is the pass valid until the end of the next business day (which would be 2AM Wednesday morning)? Or for 24 hours (which would be 5PM on Tuesday evening)?
Thank you.
Written July 24, 2019
As far as I am aware the 24 hour pass is valid from the time you purchased the pass for that period. Allowing you 2 escalations. How you plan it us up to you but i would recommend going up once during the day and once after nightfall.
