About
The Rainbow Bridge across the Niagara River connects the two cities of Niagara Falls, on both the U.S. and Canadian sides. You can cross the bridge by motorized vehicle, bicycle or even on foot, as long as you have your passport—though note that there is a toll fee. There are even duty-free shops on both ends of the bridge. The crossing takes less than 30 minutes, though peak summer season can see delays of up to one to two hours. Many tours from New York or Ontario stop at, but may not cross, the Rainbow Bridge—you'll get magnificent views of the falls and even the occasional rainbow (naturally!). – Tripadvisor

    Nice walk
To connect the two. It looks far but it really isn’t. Crossing the line was easy just bring some spare change to pay the fee. They don’t stamp your passport anymore but it was fun to walk across boarders like that.

    Everyone should experience
We walked to Canada on the rainbow bridge. There are some amazing views from there. Make sure to bring your passport. You will also need 4 quarters to pay the toll at customs on your way back to the USA. The walk is not very long.

Walking on the Peace Bridge very enjoyable
The bridge is open 24/7. It cost $1.00 to get onto the bridge from US. It was an easy walk to the sign the marked the International boundary of US/Canada. The view of the Falls was beautiful. But the colored lights on falls were not visible by 9pm. It was too light. But it was a lovely walk and I would recommend it.

    Walk to View Niagra Falls
Our fist experience walking across the border into Canada - park in the US side (get there early on peak days to get a spot for $8. Bring your passport and enjoy the short walk across - closer to the Canada side there are good views of both waterfalls. Easy pass through into Canada, just present your passport and answer a few questions and then you can proceed along the beautiful promenade for closer views of both the Bridal Veil Falls and the iconic Horseshoe Falls. The mist from the falls will be billowing in the air and will cool you off! Viewing the falls is free but there are numerous other adventures that charge admission. Go early if you prefer not to mingle with the crowds! Crossing back over you will need 4 quarters per person. No credit cards accepted and some times the change machines don’t work - I believe they only accept $1 bills. Easy walk back across the bridge as you view the long lines of cars waiting. Pass back through US customs and explore the park on the US side to see the Niagara river rushing toward the edge of Bridal Veil Falls.

Amazing views for a border crossing!
Great views, walked across from Canada to US on Sunday morning. Had a cab waiting from me on the US side, so glad I did it like that as traffic was solid and it is much much quicker to walk across. As I was leaving the Canada side a couple were ahead of me and the guy shouted over his shoulder "Goodbye free healthcare" It made me laugh :)

Look for the Border Line 🇨🇦🇺🇲
We decided to walk across the Rainbow Bridge for the fun of it from the Canadian side. From our hotel in Fallsview Boulevard, it was a 30 minutes walk to the bridge. You would need to pay $1 coin in the turnstile to get out. The walk to the International Borders between Canada and USA is only 5 minutes. You could easily the line border unless you looked out for the signage and the flags 🇨🇦🇺🇲. We turned back upon reaching US immigration. You would need a passport to re-enter Canada. An amazing experience!

    Great experience crossing the bridge/border
Very easy experience travelling from Canada to US side by foot. Ignore the CBP website saying "Lanes Closed", the bridge was indeed open and it took no longer than 5 mins to enter US and 1 min to enter Canada on return. Travelling with British passport and Canadian Study Permit. Note: US charged $6 p/p entry fee to all incoming travellers (valid for 90 days) which is apparently included in airfares, hence you might not have encountered it before. Whichever side you're coming from, it's worth visiting the other as the niagara falls experience is just completely unique on both sides.

    Beautiful view.
It is a beautiful view from this bridge looking over to the Cabausn side, the city lights and the Falls. Recommend go off -season to avoid the crowds. Bring a winter coat, hat and gloves and it will be fine. Niagara Falls is mesmerizing, it never gets old.

There’s absolutely nothing fascinating about this bridge other than crossing into another country. It’s all grey and weary!

A very nice view of the falls as you are passing by, just make sure you keep at least one eye on the road and one foot near the brakes

The rainbow bridge is a nice bridge. Well kept and secure for drivers and pedestrians alike. Traffic increases tremendously during the late morning and throughout the day. Would try to avoid 10am and sun down (as people get prepared for the lights and fireworks).

Rainbow Bridge. You can cross the bridge from Canada to the USA and back! You will need your passport too.... Quite an experience, especially if there are too many people wanting to do the same thing, then it can take a long time!

after checking out all the views of Niagara Falls from the American side, we walked across Rainbow Bridge to check out the view from on the bridge (spectacular!!) and then walk down along the Canadian side.

Viewable from a number of locations.

Bridge as a depth to the scenery at the falls.

The whole area is photographically addictive.

Well worth the effort to month.

Easy walk from US to Canada! Great views of the Falls. A little bit of a wait at the boarder to show passport, but the weather was nice and being outside was no issue!
