The view from the tower was exceptional! We bought the day/night pass and am glad we had the opportunity to view the falls from that vantage point two different times of day. The elevator ride was impressive as well. The only reason I have it a 4 is because we bought the combo pass which included the 3D movie. I would not waste your time or money on this movie. Both the plot and 3D images were very disappointing.

Well, you pay $5 to get a nice view... that's it. Enjoy!
Basically you go up the elevator to about the 25th floor where you can view the falls from there. Indoors, behind glass.... not much else to say to describe it.
If you really want a nice aerial view then I guess it's worth it, but we were staying at the hotel and didn't pay anything, so here are some photos....(these are from the 30th floor, so it's a bit higher)

I visited the Minolta tower in freezing weather in January and the place was almost deserted, save for a couple of Ramada staff at the reception desk. The tower gives a good overview of both falls but is nothing spectacular, especially compared with the view from right up close, which is free.
I didn't see a single other visitor for the whole half hour I was there, and even the ramada staff had disappeared when I took the lift back down to ground level. I let myself out.

The old Minolta Tower revamped into a hotel with pie-shaped rooms, each with a glass wall facing the falls! Hope you can stop marvelling over the view long enough to enjoy a little romance! Or the casino next door. Bring your own coffee/snacks as there is nothing in the room. Check the bathroom before you settle in as each room is different and the corner of the pie-shape has design challenges - awkward for the big or tall. Breakfast is cosy and affordable, dinner is excellent. Unique foyer with Marilyn Monroe era seating areas. Rooms feature different themes. We enjoyed the round bed boudoir and the view, the view, the view!

If you don't have a Fallsview high floor room then this is a good spot but if you do, save your cash.

Lower level has a nice arcade with video games, pool/snooker tables - old style and a great place to visit on a really hot day or on a rain day.
Top of the tower is a must visit to look over the Falls and capture some amazing photos. View of the entire city including the USA, on a clear day upstate New York and even Toronto in the distance.

Compared many prices for a Saturday night. This was the cheapest and best. Have stayed at Embassy Suites, Radisson before. Would recommend this hotel to couples.
The room isn't huge, but big enough. Microwave, coffeemaker, and fridge in the room.
The view was the best. 28th floor and you could see everything.
The staff was friendly, and no line ups.
Continental breakfast was good. Coffee, juice, muffins, danish, bagels, and cold cereal.
Valet parking. A phone call, and your car is delivered in 5-10 minutes.
A short walk to the new casino and many restaurants.

Last time we were in Niagara we did not have time to go to the Minolta Tower so imagine how pleased we were to find that we could actually stay here with the fantastic views as a hotel guest in the Tower Hotel!
Great views especially at night when the falls are lit up..........
I've done a separate review of the hotel if you want to read it?!

Great view from the common areas, but the rooms themselves are really odd. While its interesting to stay in a curved room, it eats away a lot if useable space. interesting experience but I wouldn't do it again

Small rooms
Older
Marilyn monroe pictures on the wall
Kinda retro and tacky
I wouldnt return
It was for valentines day
Dinner at the marilyns was very nice though small portions for valentines day dinner special but definetly good cooking and good service. Very cold by the windows though
Hotel was nice but its more if your looking for character in a hotel not just nice modern. Def overpriced anytime of year
If you want a view thats better stay at oaks or embassy
