This was a pretty cool view. We were visiting Niagara Falls in November, so it was pretty chilly, but still nice weather that we were able to walk around and view the falls and river from here. I would like to visit this attraction during the summer months as well.

Driving on Niagara Parkway you will find a picknick area about 1km south of the Botanical garden on your right hand side. There are stairs down to the bottom of the valley where you will find several walks along the white water of the river. Great photo spot if a speed boat comes along!

Niagara Glen is accessible by the WEGO bus service. Descending a high staircase allows access down into the gorge woodland, and then a network of paths gives access down to the river itself. This really is a pleasant relief from the massed crowds and shows a bit of what Niagara Falls would be like undeveloped.

While returning from Niagara Falls on Nov. 18, 2016, via Niagara Parkway, there were several designated parking areas where you could break your journey and enjoy the views from different angles, this one across the Butterfly Garden, at the Tourist Information Office.

It was a great hike with beautiful foliage. There is stair going down to the hiking trail, with green forest...

We love hiking and so picked this spot when visiting Niagara Falls. It is a beautiful spot to visit...forest, escarpment and river views. Unfortunately, the signage is really confusing as there are lots of little side-trails. Someone selected ugly spray paint to mark the trails which looks like bad graffiti which is unfortunate.

We visited Ontario during the summer with the kids and the a white river waters are very impressive! Loved the walk along the river seeing the rapids was very refreshing in the very hot summer.

To enter the trails, you go down a long steel staircase and follow the trail system down to the Niagara River which is beautiful. My husband and I are avid hikers but found the trails not to be marked well and found multiple trails leading in different directions. With the trails covered by the falling leaves it was hard to... The views are second to none - hands down the best place in the area to hike. It can be crowded on the weekends, especially in the afternoon. Go in the morning or through the week to avoid the crowds. Lots of ups and downs ... not for those not in decent physical shape. Wear good athletic footwear, bring some... More

If you are outdoorsy and love hiking, the gorge and Niagara Glen nature area is amazing. Miles of trails to travel and hike. Bird watching on route too.
