Hello Nick,
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us and thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Every day there are up to seven different tour operators flying helicopters and airplanes in the restricted airspace directly above Niagara Falls. This restricted airspace has very clearly defined weather constraints in place to keep aircraft and passengers safe in a very busy area. Our location is fifteen kilometers from Niagara Falls and the weather may appear clear where we are while over Niagara Falls it is overcast, with low cloud. Each day we use accurate, up to the minute, aviation weather observations from Niagara Falls International Airport to determine whether or not we can fly. If the weather is below limits, all aircraft are prohibited from flying over Niagara Falls - we do not have a choice. During these weather delays, we spend quite a bit of time on the phone communicating with customers to reschedule or cancel flights, which is reflected in many of our five star reviews.
When you purchase tickets through Trip Advisor for our flights, we do not receive payment from Trip Advisor unless you actually fly with us. We always explain to customers the procedure to get a refund if we cannot fly due to bad weather. Customers must initially contact Trip Advisor directly - as a third party, we cannot do that step. Once you contact Trip Advisor, they will confirm with us that you didn’t fly due to inclement weather and they will give you a refund within a couple of days.
Thank you again, for your review.
