This is the Niagara District Court House. If someone had hurt someone or killed, they go to the Court House. Better not hurting anyone! The Niagara District Court House is attractive! A must see!

Winter brings a new look to this old, historic town. The visitors center is located inside and when you enter you can see some of the older architecture that was used back at the turn of the century. We loved the things that get added around Christmas, it just puts you in the mood. The Clock Tower outside playing Christmas carols is a great touch too !…

For years, the Shaw Festival had a theatre here, but now it’s back to a lecture hall. The theatre was really a firetrap, so the change was a good one. Interesting photos on the first floor (one floor up)..

The Niagara District Court House was built in 1846-7 and currently houses the visitors information center/chamber of commerce in the basement. This Canadian National Historic Site has had many uses over the years since the district court was moved to St Catherines, with the latest serving the Shaw festival as the Courthouse Theatre up until 2017. There are a couple of exhibits in the basement where the jail cells were as well as information at the center.…
