My husband and I took my recently widowed brother to one of our Niagara favorites, and the experience did not disappoint! My brother loved the wine and especially the kindness and personal touch shown by Rita, who did our tasting. It was so great to see my brother invested in the experience and have some fun, he asked Rita tons of questions and she was so kind...he liked it so much he asked her for a hug at the end of the tasting...and she obliged! Thanks Rita...he really needed an experience to help him know life is still worth living! I'm sure you have no idea how much your friendl manner meant. Visited October 14OCT. Thanks Rita and thanks Ravine for yet another great visit.

We selected Ravine as one of our tasting locations due to its proximity to our AirBNB, having never heard of the winery. Willing to try anything, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the tasting. Our host, Shannon I believe, was absolutely incredible. She was super friendly and knowledgable, and more key, easily adapted to the fact one of us was very experienced with wines, while once of us was a more casual drinker, and catered the experience to each of us accordingly. We really loved the approach of having a full menu of wines to choose from with details of the notes of the wines, so we could select four wines we genuinely were interested in that suited our preferences. As a result, we both walked away buying two bottles. We also learned about the process of how each wine was made, and appreciated that for example, Shannon could break down how two wines of the same type were different in terms of how they were made and the impact on flavour. This may not be a name you've heard or seen in your LCBO but make them a stop on your tour. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Great ambiance with amazing food. We had the mushroom soup, fall salad, Cornish hen, beef short ribs and pavlova and everything was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

We attended at Ravine for a wine tasting. Very lovely venue in an old house that had been reconstructed after years stored in carefully itemized pieces. Our tasting was led by a knowledgable young woman. The wines are excellent and vary from an entry level tier (Sand & Gravel) all the way to a Reserve tier. Out table seems to appreciate the mid-tier level the most 9Ravine Cab Franc!) . They have a lovely 'grocery' style store on site that focuses on local produce and sauces, syrups, etc., fresh baked goods, and interesting wine related items. One of our best tastings of six during our visit to NOTL. For the wine geeks - specializes in Bordeaux varietals (Cab Franc the star) plus Chardonnay with an interesting sparkling.

Stopped here for lunch, very covid friendly
Ate in the tent behind in the vineyard!!! Very pretty out there… service was great and everyone very friendly… we shared mushroom soup and a Buffalo style pepperoni pizza…. Was lots for two people… both equally delicious!!! Wine store with little store in the back where local cheeses and meats can be purchased… super cute and definitely would go back!

After we enjoyed a dinner a few years ago in the beautiful Barrel Cellar, now we stopped by for lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the setting and the view.
Cheryl, our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and fast with her service. We truly enjoyed the baby beets salad, mushroom soup and the wild mushroom pizza. Large enough to share among us two. Of course - we liked very much the Chardonnay, Rose and the Cabernet Franc.
And there was live music - and too loud. In short - a great lunch experience. We will be back.

My husband and I really enjoyed the wonderful view you get outside during the wine tasting at Ravine. The prettiest we’ve seen when we went to NOTL in September 2020. The customer service was good. We did have to wait a little longer at times to get our wines; however, they were pretty busy considering COVID and keeping things clean does take time! I would rather wait knowing the the areas are being properly cleaned between customers. Also, the wines were great! Reasonable prices. Overall, would definitely recommend!

It was our first time coming to this winery. This was our second stop. We had to pay in advance which isn't terrible but it was the only winery on our list we had to do so. We were so excited because all the reviews and instagram photos seemed amazing! The parking lot was packed so it a few minutes to find a space. We then proceeded to the tasting entrance which has a small sign that said go to the grey building. On the way to the grey building we noticed a table with people which we thought was for the resturaunt but we noticed it was check in for tasting as well. We checked in and the first thing the man said was "you're late so we are going to have to rush your tasting". At this point we we were 5 minutes late to our tasting. We ignored the unwelcoming remark and proceeded to our lovely tasting. She was excellent - very patient, knowledgeable and was also from our home town! We bought a few hundred dollars in total and got our tasting fee waived. While we were waiting for our wine purchases the same man came up to us and asked us to wait inside. A server quickly said or you can sit at another table and enjoy the grounds. He quickly said "oh ya you can do that too". I am so disappointed with the lack of welcoming from this individual. I know people have bad days and I understand we were 5 minutes late but it was our first time there and we were just figuring out how to navigate the grounds. I am so disappointed since all the other staff worked hard to make it a welcoming experience but this individual instead of welcoming us on our first outing out during COVID, made our experience start AND end on a sour note. Please be patient with guests - especially when you have signs around to try and navigate them. I would recommend next time this individual says welcome, ask us have we been there before and proceed with the protocols.

I have eaten at this restaurant many many times in the past - always leaving with a happy feeling. This time was so different. They claim that it’s because of Covid-19 that the menu has been dumbed down and slashed. The “Covid-19” safe service was disturbingly inconsistent, the food cold and greasy. The restaurant is now a field of picnic tables under an oversized umbrella. If you’re expecting to find the old high quality Ravine restaurant, forget it. It is now a very different place.

Hello,
It is unfortunate that we did not meet your expectations.
Ravine has opted to provide only outdoor service for the dining and tasting experiences as this has proven to be the safest method to gather for our valued guests and staff team during this pandemic. Shade was also necessary in the open area. We have provided entertainment as well as a casual outdoor picnic feel with sanitized spaces.
We will continue to do our best to keep the public and our staff as safe as possible but understand this comes with some differences from the old 'normal'.
We do hope to see you perhaps when we return to safer times.

Though I have been to many wineries in the NOTL area, this was our first visit to Ravine Vineyards. It was our last stop of 5 on this weekend trip.
The venue is rather expansive and the gently rolling hills of the vineyard are very pretty. Our tasting menu was rather good providing many options for the discerning palates of our group. Our server was knowledgable and very pleasant.
The one drawback- and something I have never experienced at a winery here or abroad- is that all of our tastings were served from the same glass. Given the precautions necessary for COVID, the social distancing was done well, the lack of 'available glasses' ( as we were told) was very odd and quite honestly is contrary to how I like to do my tasting flights.
We sampled 4 wines, of which two ( rose and chardonnay) we did purchase a couple of bottles of each ... so clearly, despite the glass faux pas, didn't stop us from enjoying them.

Hello,
I would like to know if this Vineyard is easily accessible from the Niagara Falls Train station? (and also approx taxi/bus prices).
Also how far in advance should the tour be booked (and lunch)? I wont be going until October.
We will be arriving into the Niagara Falls train station and would love to visit this vineyard and niagara on the lake if easily accessibletoo.
Thank you!

My belief is that this is not easily accessible just by the driving we had to do along agricultural roads that characterize the non-town region of Niagara on the Lake.
As suggested by others, call the winery.
The other option, which might not be a good one because I find them pricey and time constrained is picking up a wine tour either in Niagara Falls or one of the surrounding areas.
Google Maps show no bus service, and I can say I did not see any bus service to vineyards in general.
