- Elaine T2 contributionsNiagara College - Journey of the Senses ExperienceWe had a great experience at Niagara College recently. We did the Journey of the Senses experience and had a tour and tasting at both the Brewery and Winery facilities. The students were very enthusiastic and informed and we especially enjoyed our conversation and experience with Adi from the brewery program. He was awesome! Another highlight was tasting a blonde stout called Betty White - very unique! My only advice would be to allow at least 2 hours for this experience, as it was much longer than I expected (and truthfully less structured than I prefer) but my husband didn’t mind that, so it depends on your personal preference. Go see the students at Niagara College next time you visit NOTL!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2024
- Maureen MOliver, Canada79 contributionsWorth a visit!Fantastic tasting by Tyler who was both knowledgeable and friendly. We tried several delicious reserve wines and would love to have purchased more if we weren’t flying. Would definitely recommend going here over any of the big wineries in the area. These students deserve an A!Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten June 11, 2024

The 3 college students were very helpful towards the group. I bought a Savignon blanc for Pru a dear friend.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten July 3, 2024
- Paul Langan159 contributionsGood single malt whiskey!Went there for this ice wine festival but there is so much more there. As a teaching school for a brewery, distillery, as well as the winery. Really enjoyed their single malt whiskey .Great knowledgeable staff and a beautiful view. Would go againVisited January 2025Travelled as a coupleWritten January 10, 2025

We used this as our introduction to wineries. They start at the beginning and instruct their students in a manual fashion so that they understand the basics first before going on to more advanced technology and techniques. It is wonderful how they challenge the students to create their own liquid masterpieces and put them on the market at the winery. Truthfully, their ice wine, in my estimation, was tastier than found in most of the other vineyards we visited. We brought home several bottles of ice wine and traditional wines. This was my husband and my second visit here, but the first for my daughter and son-in-law. I am glad they got the same experience as we did; it was well worth the visit.

I initially took my husband on a lunch + tour of the college vinery, (pre-Covid) and it was phenomenal. We learned so much about the Niagara escarpment and why it produces some of the best wines in the world.
I joined the wine subscription service and got 2 bottles per month, 1 White and 1 Red.
They were both superior wines and occasionally we ordered a case of the wine we liked.
I would highly recommend stopping by for lunch.

We have been coming to the Shaw festival for about a decade and every time we come we try to eat at the Benchmark and buy a case of wine at the Winery store. The products are part of the the students work to learn their craft so it supports kids, but the wine is very nice so it is great for us too. The tasting staff have always been quite knowledgeable about the products (which now include spirits too), and fun and friendly to talk to. If you want higher end go with the Dean's List labeled wines, those are their best. If you want an inexpensive bottle the College white and the Tom Thompson will fill your bill. The Balance label wines are in between. The current Sav blanc is quite nice.

First stop on our wine tasting trip to Niagara on the lake to celebrate our 25th anniversary.Chetan Was very informative. Very generous. Very knowledgeable. Every wine we tasted was well-made. We left with at least a case of wine. Enjoy the Chardonnay.

Great for families with kids! We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids and were able to sit outside under some tents. Lots of space for the kids to run and play, with yard games like bag toss. Staff was super nice and accommodating. They brought food and games out and were so helpful. Great place to stop and hang out while we were on our way from Niagara to Toronto while we waited for our check in time

Stopped here for a tasting on my way into Niagara on the Lake. After waiting for a bus tour to leave (as they were standing around and completely blocking the doorways), I was able to look around. The tasting room is nicely set up with the wines and spirits that are made there readily displayed along with any awards they have won. (Beer was in the cooler.) Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The back patio was a lovely spot to sit and sip the wines. It would have been nice if staff had opened up some of the patio umbrellas so I didn't have to struggle with one.

Always a good time here! We went to this winery as part of the Taste the Harvest tour. Our pairing was done by James who was fantastic and so nice to chat with. At first we were disappointed because the host last time we were here (Max) wasn’t here. But James was just as friendly so it all worked out. We stopped by the brewery as well and had a flight. It was a great visit.

Run by the students, this is quite a nice place to visit. They have beer and wine, a nice patio, and willingly chat about the school and the courses they take. Their offerings are often as good as any of the wineries in the area.

Went for the wine tour and craft brewery tour. The wife is a wine drinker so she enjoyed a couple of wines and bought a couple. As for me i am not a wine drinker but i learned alot about wines. As for the brewery same thing i learned about the process but i am not a craft beer drinker. So if you would like too learn the processes i say go for it and lots of wines too try.

Stopped by for some wine and beer sampling. Pleasantly surprised there was a food truck as well.
We had the nachos, poutine and fries.
Also had wine which was pleasant as well. Only complaint was how short staffed they were. But very friendly.
