I will start by saying that I love NEOB and have been coming to this location and the one in Elora for years. I have always loved the products and the service has been consistently great. I'd like to share an instance from today, however, as the consultant really went above and beyond to help me with my purchases. I came to the NOTL location after work looking to get a gift for a close friend. The lady who assisted me today was so friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable of all the products in the store. Even though the store was about to close, Christine (I believe this was her name) never once rushed me, offered me some free samples, and took the time to explain things thoroughly so that I was getting the products that I thought my friend would like best. Not only this, but she was so pleasant to chat with during my time in the store that I didn't really feel like I was running an errand at all. In the end I decided to select a few different items for my friend to try, and Christine was kind enough to put together a custom gift box, complete with beautiful purple ribbons. As you can see from the photo, it looks incredible, and I can't wait to give it to my friend. I also work in customer service and I honestly can't remember the last time I was treated so well in a retail store. Big thank you, once again, to Christine for all her hard work, and I am really looking forward to my next visit!

I spent the morning amongst the lavender. It was $10 to take the trail and they give you $5 towards any purchase which I used for sure. The people at the shop were so friendly and informative. Love their products. Bought some soaps and bombs. They were out of the lavender massage oil so I will be back to purchase that. You can also buy online. Great day out!

I've visited NEOB a few times over the years when I'm in town and really enjoy their products. Staff are warm and knowledgeable. Store is arranged for adequate spacing during covid, so I felt comfortable. Good quality! Would recommend.

We were surprised to find that there was a $10 fee just to go into the lavender fields--we had not encountered that before. Granted, that included a $5 coupon to then use in the store, but they did admit the flowers were past their prime and about to be harvested. They had many nice (but quite pricey) products in a nicely laid out shop for sale.

I ordered a lavender gift package on Thursday, Sept 12th for someone's birthday with the expectation of delivery being 1-2 business days. After Tuesday, Sept 17th there was still no delivery. I emailed Kristina to ask what was going on and found out there was a product delay. This is fine that there is a product delay, but an email saying there is going to be a product delay would have been helpful. No offer for alternative product replacement, refund or gift voucher. All I was told was the gift basket was going to be sent out on Thursday, September 19th, a week later.
Very unprofessional because this was a birthday gift destined to go to someone's house that is now significantly delayed.

Beautiful store with knowledgeable staff. The lavendar fields were lovely as well. I purchased their massuet lavendar essential oil to diffuse and absolutely love it. It is equal to, if not better than, an other brand I have been diffusing for years. Impressive that they distill their own oil.

Horrible customer service and experience! I took my 87 yo father and his 90 yo friend to a trip to the NEOB lavender farm. We joined the 2PM tour, but it was too fast for them to keep up so they asked if they could do the 'pick your own' lavender instead. I left them (and my husband) by the field and walked to the boutique to pay for it. I was told that it was $15 for a bouquet and $25 for 2. I needed 2, paid for 2 and was told that someone would give me 2 baskets, scissors and join me in the field to show me what's allowed to cut shortly. Enter "Tracey", a salesperson that when asked if she could help me, started loudly questioning the first salesperson about the 2 for $25 'deal' she gave me - arguing that this is not valid and delaying everything. I was meanwhile ignored and left waiting there, while my elderly father and friend were waiting in the sun. I asked politely to either be assisted with the basket and scissors, or be refunded, as I had elderly people waiting outside. Tracey turned to me and basically told me to shut up because I was getting a bargain (!). She continued to argue with that poor colleague of hers and berate her for the 'mistake' in full view of everyone, and when I asked again to either be served or refunded, she finally started marching along me, while yelling at me in the most passive aggressive way and calling me rude (and reminding me that I got a 'deal'). This lasted all the way to where my family was waiting, and in front of them. I just wanted to get out of there and did not want to make the matters worse by finding her manager and complaining, as I was stunned at the complete and unexpected rudeness I was exposed to. Absolutely unreal! Ruined my otherwise wonderful day. Tracy should not work in customer service ever and at all, she was absolutely unprofessional and completely out of line. She should also apologize to her colleague that was yelled at in front of the whole store. This was my first and last visit to NEOB due to this.

Can't wait until next summer's "Lavender Festival". Love the whole Niagara-on-the-Lake experience and visiting with Robert & Melissa (both just too darn cute) at their delightful "Busy Bee Gardens Lavender" was the icing on the cake! Actually, we did enjoy a piece of lavender cake helping them to celebrate their 3rd year in business. How lucky for us. We got to join the party. We also enjoyed Lavender coffe, lavender pizza and oh yes, those amazing milk chocolate dipped rose geranium leaves. Yum Yum!!! Our private tour was most interesting and I can hardly wait to add some French lavender plants to my English lavender garden. They have an amazing product line. Anything and everything that can be made with lavender, lemon balm, rose geranium etc. these two have thought of. Treat yourself and include a stop here on your visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Simply heavenly!

We went for the Lavender Festival this weekend. I expected to see a large field of lavender but it was nothing to close to it. I will not recommend to come here to see lavender but only to visit their shop. They do have a very nice selection of products.

We are planning to come the July long weekend. when would you say is the best time to see the lavender in the fields.
Written March 30, 2018
I would say that the July long weekend is a very good time to go to NEOB and in fact if you go to their website, I believe that you will find there is a lavender festival just a week or two after that (usually mid-month).

Hello,
About how long is the tour? Is it possible to walk around the lavender fields without going on a tour?
Written August 11, 2017
Hi, hi long does the tour usually last? How many hours should we spend at the place and are there still flowers this weekend? Thanks!

The tour wasn't very long, about 15 minutes. Yes you can walk around the lavender fields, though I am not sure when they are in bloom. They have a Lavender festival (usually) in August where different hand made artist sell their wares, and you can cut your own flowers and get some tasty food.

Is it a good time to go here in winters? We are going to Niagara on the lake on 31st December? Should we stop here?
Written December 28, 2016
Hi Thank you for contacting us. During the winter months we offer a sensory experience in our boutique. Samples of culinary treats including our lavender water. We explain the difference crops we harvest and we take you on a aromatic journey with our smell test. Stop by and enjoy a bit of lavender and other essential oils.
The fields are closed for tours and the boutique is open from 10-6pm daily. Enjoy your trip.

Hi, thank you for contacting us. The lavender harvest and distillation is complete for the season but there is still lots to experience. When you visit the tour will include the aromatic greenhouse which is filled with aromatic plants including our rose geranium. You will see the equipment and learn how we make essential oils. There might even be a distillation happening that day, we still have many crops left to distill. Niagara-On-The-Lake is amazing during September as the grape harvest and celebration has started. Thank you.

Are there any bus tours out of Toronto for your festival event weekend of July 9 & 10 that anyone can recommend?
Written June 27, 2016
i am sorry I missed your questions. We will have a bus next year.
Written July 13, 2016
Hi there! We were recently in the lavender boutique and were told that your oils are on grown in Niagara, is that true? (We didnt think cinnamom or frankincense would do so well here). We also asked if your oils maintained frequency and remain unadulterated, all we were told was, "Yes." Can you elaborate?
Written June 24, 2016
Hi Thank you for contacting us. Sorry about the delay. Most of our oils are distilled in Niagara not all of them. The country of origin is listed on the bottles. Some oils are distilled from plant material grown in Niagara and from imported plant material. Others essential oils are imported direct from our overseas operations or from producers we know personally. I will re-educate the staff on our oils and I thank you for bring this to my attention.
We maintain frequency by incorporating borosilicate glass into our distillation equipment. We have all borosilicate glass units and we have 316 stainless steel units with borosilicate glass integrated into the units. Our oils are then stored in Ultra-violet glass, nitrogen packed. We then decanter the oils into Ultra-violet glass vials for the consumer. Preservation of bio-energy through protection from light, oxygen and pollutants.
I hope this answers your questions.
Thank you Robert
