Whenever in NOTL we are at the Prince of Wales, Our preference of rooms overlook Simcoe Park. It's beautiful, any season, gorgeous. We were in NOTL during the 150th anniversary of Canadian government several years ago and I had the opportunity to watch a reenactment of the first speeches made of Parliament from our balcony and it hit me that I was in a former Canadian capital...that the ties between the U.S. and Canada were so much more important than we think of as we cross a remarkably fluid Border (not COVID time sensitive)...…

My wife and I had chance to call off and walk around when stopping off in the area whilst touring East Canada and enjoyed the visit. Really it should be called squirrel park, they're everywhere! It's a beautiful spot to relax and includes a bandstand, an amphitheatre, a lovely fountain and a kids play area.…

Simcoe Park is a lovely oasis in Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake. The green grass and mature trees provide a peaceful refuge in the center of town. There are benches to relax or picnic on, a play area, and what looks to be a structure where there might be entertainment from time to time. Washrooms are also available.
