Very pretty location and a bonus find at Niagara on the Lake to sit and relax and look over Lake Ontario, if you can bring along chairs

I thought this park would be longer along the river, but it was a nice spot to stop and enjoy the water views, the US and Toronto in the distance. Very pretty spot away from the touristy heritage area.

If only this spot could talk. Sitting in the gazebo, looking across the river, is a fantastic view of Fort Niagara on the U.S. side. To your left, a view of Lake Ontario, all the way to Toronto. To your right, about 1/2 mile is Fort George, on the Niagara River. Lets step back in time. Can you imagine watching the battles that took place between these two forts . . . from the front row ? Now back to the present, the Gazebo is located in a small park, right on the Lakes edge. It's a great place for photo-ops but in Winter, it's a bit chilly down there ! Just below the platform is a stone with a great saying on it, "Have you made someone's life BETTER today"? Words to live by.…
