What a wonderful thing to spend some time doing as a family. The carousels are beautiful and so much fun (although, a bit fast for those with motion sickness). The train wide is an absolute hoot! Great for kids and parents alike.
The staff is friendly and welcoming! Please note, they only accept cash - so come prepared so you don't have to delay the fun and run to an ATM like we did.
Conveniently located near the beach, picnic tables and playgrounds for extra activities to do with the kiddos. Also has ample parking that's easy to get in and out of.
Thanks for the amazing experience and family memories! We will definitely be back the next time we are in North Bay.

Kids of all ages will enjoy both the steam engine or diesel engine locomotives that they run on the tracks. The two carousels feature different themes and are nice can be enjoyed by all.

Great for the kids! They love it and the volunteers are so fabulous. A must do if you have young kids in North Bay.

If you're in North Bay, heck, you should come to North Bay just for this, you have to experience an authentic carousel ride on not one, but two, specially designed and built old timey carousels. Each mount is hand carved and painted by volunteer crafts people from the community. Delight in the simplicity and joy of a ride on a carousel or take a spin on a short track, small gauge railway. Located on North Bay's enchanting waterfront on Lake Nipissing where the sunsets are unequaled and the views magnificent. Bring the kids, or be a kid again, on the mini train and carousels.

i was at the lake ( apparently there is a big energy vortex in the middle of the lake cross that enchanting Carousel ), the music got my attention and i just had to cross the street and i went for a delightful Ride.i pick up my horse.it toke me a little while during that beautiful night,..because all the horse seem to come directly from a fairyland..i was by my self and no..not embarrass to go for some light happiness .. i needed the magic and i got it. nice staff. nice view. forever young and insist to be. thank you to the volunteer team. i will return !!!

If your looking for some fun that nobody is to old for take a ride on the train or one of the 2 Carousels at the waterfront these carousels ate hand made by local artists that take amazing pride in their work so its worth checking it out and even taking a ride on either of these 3 attractions I highly recomend them

I’ve been visiting family in the North Bay Area for years and decided to go and check out the heritage railway with my grand daughters! What an absolutely delightful surprise in every way. Two beautiful carousels along with the replica railway ride literally took our breath away! Kudos to all of the volunteers (some who worked for the ONR for over 40 years! You will not be disappointed! We were even allowed to wear a few of the original railway caps for a photo session!

Imagine a Hollywood style Merry-go-round for romantic couples. Right on the shore of lake Nipissing near the marina. The ride is only $2 and well worth it. Laugh and have fun with your lover or with your kids. The small kids have a smaller merry go round or the small train ride.

Hours of Operation Mother's Day to last week of June:
Fridays, 4pm to dusk, Saturday and Sunday - 10:00 a.m. to dusk.
Last week of June to Labour Day:
