There's not a lot to walk around and see, however I do often see swans by the lake, and when the flowers are in bloom it's definitely beautiful to walk through or sit there.

Have been here numerous times. The area is very nice and picturesque. My only concern is that if you take a rather large groups there for a few hours they want you to let them know ahead of time. Glad that Oakville preserved this area.

I love Gairloch Gardens very much. It's best at spring/summer seasons. The town is doing a great job to keep all the flowers beautiful. Also a great photo shooting location.

Lovely garden with a walking path in downtown Oakville. The Gairloch Gardens are so beautiful, roses are in bloom, amazing flower arrangements. Ducks are swimming in the ponds and waterfalls. Its a nice garden to visit if you are in Oakville.

Although, it's not a huge garden, it's a wonderful place to snap a few photos and wander or sit for a while. Definitely worth the stop on your way through Oakville.

Somehow, I seem to think they are intended to be walked vs. cycled. There are sections along the path where you can stop and enjoy a particular garden (eg. rose garden).
