- Vanessa F2 contributionsMansfield Entertainment for the winMy parents went to go and see the Mansfield production Till I hear you Sing, and loved every minute. A smooth experience with the box office, and an impressive showcase of vocal talent of nostalgic tunes. - danno6317Ontario, Canada111 contributionsGreat Venue / Awesome Staff!Friday March 22nd cover band show with Doors & Janice Joplin was an excellent show. Sadly the outside weather event may have affected the turnout but none the less the venue & bands were really good. I had the pleasure of speaking to several staff members just off the cuff questions & they were all friendly & accommodating with answers & helpful information for future events for us out of towners. From the front door to our departure everything was great & the smiling staff helped a lot in making it a great experience. Our show was Cash Only Bar so keep that in mind if your visiting anytime soon. What a great theatre to see a show. Look forward to future visits as you advertised a lot of interesting events up comingVisited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten March 25, 2024

We have been to the Regent many times for various shows/concerts. We saw the Box on Friday and Bowie Lives Saturday.
Both were amazing. Most staff is friendly except one who works behind the bar. Everytime he is there he looks absolutely miserable. People are out for a good fun night smile have fun with people.
Shows amazing clean venue.

I LOVE the regent theatre! We come to see all Silly Stages performances. We live in Oakville however make the drive because their shows are fantastic. We love the Pantomime shows. Old and young the humour is amazing! Well directed, sensational talent, fantastic writers and brilliant choreography! Cannot wait to go back! So sad we are missing Silly Stages summer shows!!! 🥰

This building started as a movie theatre, in the early 20th century. When it fell on hard times, it sat vacant for many years. Fortunately The University of Ontario Institute of Technology saw fit to purchase it as a part of their theatre and drama programme. It has now been totally refurbished inside and out. The floor is now sloped, new seats have been installed, the walls have been paInted blue and gold and the magnificent plastered ceiling has has been restored, with decorations, from a bygone era. There is also excellent lighting.
Over the passing years I have witnessed movies, choral concerts, ballet and lately symphonic concerts by the Philharmonic orchestra. The wonderful acoustics are still evident. A cultural jewel has been reborn.

Attended the "Hot Rod Cinema" last night at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa. Their is a car show right beside the theatre at 6:00pm and the movie, different every week, starts at 8:00pm. Last night was "The World's Fastest Indian". Best deal anywhere, $5.00 movie admission and a popcorn drink/candy combo for $5.00 plus a couple of door prizes. The next movie is July 12th "California Kid". Check out the website!

We attended a concert at this long-established venue in downtown Oshawa and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. The staff were super friendly and very accomodating---the sound and light were both very acceptable but not quite up to the standards of other theatres--ie--Capitol Theatre in Port Hope. The seating was very comfortable and tiered so no bad sightlines. We would definitely recommend this establishment.

My first time to visit the Regent Theatre. Very convenient in downtown Oshawa, with free parking in the municipal parking garage on weekends. Close to several nice restaurants for pre or post performance snacks. Great sound in the theatre, every seat is a good seat, and a variety of classic rock, folk and other acts for any age group. I'll be back again ... and again ...

Went to a quartet that has been together for 26 years. I really wasn't sure I would enjoy it. I was enthralled with their songs, songwriting and how well these four women played various instruments. They were fantabulous (dictgionary of Leanna) and I would go again. The REGENT theatre is wonderfully maintained and elegant/beautiful. In an age where the old theatres are being closed and torn down THIS one is extremely well maintained and loved. The price to go to this venue was very very reasonable for anyone.

The Regent is a theatre that has been totally refurbished to bring it back to its heyday in Oshawa. Well worth the visit if you enjoy classic theatres.

Would like to take my grand daughter to see white Christmas, she loves this movie. She is 8 years old. Are children aloud?
Written November 20, 2016
I don't see why not. Best to contact the theatre directly to ensure their is no fuss at the door.
