Took my elderly mother with me. No one provided a tour. Hardly any real paintings. No art history of the masters. Lots of empty spaces. Very big waste of time. Art lovers stay home. Nothing here for you. Even our small Whitby Art gallery has...More

I hear that art is subjective, well most of the displays looked to me like dollar store craft projects that my children work on when the Internet is down on a cold winter morning. It is almost as if the artist did not even try...More

Unexpectedly mature standard of curation with a fascinating core collection and intriguing exhibits of contemporary artists. Sure pays to have a big-bucks local benefactor to kick things off! Impressive legacy for the McLaughlin family. Great gift shop. Far off my usual paths of travel, but...More

Organized by Rory. We had a fantastic time. We watched a short film by a college student. We watched an interpretive dance as a lady sang and her voice was incredible. She also played the flute. We enjoyed wandering thru the art displays.

A smallish but well stocked art gallery with some very worthwhile paintings and sculpture to view. There is a pleasant gift shop and a small dining room.

Wonderful place full of great activities for everyone, young and old, families, couples, and singles! I'm always surprised more people don't visit the Second Sundays and RMG Fridays, they are always very fun! The staff and volunteers are always very helpful.

The art shows are always a great deal - you pay a "voluntary" price to tour the gallery and whatever show is hosted. The shows are usually very well chosen and are always impressive. Restaurant above is hit and miss, depending on who is running...More
