This was a hidden gem that was nice to find. The building was old but the quality of the exhibition was excellent and deserves a much larger modern place. I expected to see a lot of GM cars being the Canadian home of GM but...More

Don't drive too fast by it or you'll miss it. If you enjoy seeing old cars and learning about the Canadian connection this is the place.

Amazing cars and antiques around every corner. Most people drive by, and know where it is. Drop in and look around, you won't regret it. Plus it's said to be haunted.

Rather large collection of old cars with interesting bit of trivia regarding history of Canadian Automotive industry and previous owners of some more remarkable cars. It is housed in a building which looks like an old machine shop, too small for the collection and is...More

The Canadian Automotive museum is a private collection of old cars 45 minutes from Toronto center. It is interesting to classic cars enthusiasts and children. It is over crowded with cars and need much larger space to display its contents more efficiently. I visited it...More

Thank you for visiting. The museum is a public not-for-profit charity run by a board of directors. We'd love to have a larger space some day as well.

A group of 4 of us arrived and were greeted by Clarke, who offered to give us a tour. It was an excellent way to hit the highlights of the museum and to gain a little understanding of the time period for various cars.

Great for kids, a great collection but in an old warehouse very cramped and many vehicles in storage off site. Impressive but a huge influx of cash needed from Municipality, province and Federal Government and corporate sponsors, and the public to preserve and display our...More

Thank you. The museum is housed in a former 1920s auto dealership. The Oshawa City Council supports the museum with a $5,000 grant every year and the Province of Ontario currently has no funding streams for museums.
