A couple of weeks ago, I completed my third cooking course at C'est Bon, this time, in the 'Basics' category, 'Braising'. I spent a throroughly enjoyable and educational 3 hours cooking up three delicious braised dishes, and took away countless tips on how to cook tasty food properly and economically. Scribbled on my recipes are countless valuable tips on how... More

A great gift idea, or even a fantastic activity to do with someone you love! We loved our first course at C'est Bon Cooking that we signed up right away for a second course and learned so much!

Very good experience. I learned a lot about basic braising. Except for the oven malfunction, it was perfect.

I brought my parents who were visiting and thought it would be a fun afternoon... it exceeded all of our expactations and I learned about so many neat, new places to stop and go back to in the future. FABULOUS tour, and well informed tour guide! I can't wait to do more of them!

My boyfriend and I live in Ottawa and have shopped in Hintonburg/ Mechanicsville/ Wellington West for several years but we thought that a food tour would be a great way to learn more about some of the stores and/or restaurants in that neighbourhood. We really enjoyed the personal tour, from Carmen, as well as from the store owners. We most... More

A wonderful, enthusiastic tour guide led us through the Byward Market to sample the best of all things chocolate. I especially enjoyed Mr. Stubbe's informative, mini-seminar on chocolate production from field to store, as well as the delicious sample of gelato at Mantovani. Well done-- I'll be sure to take another tour in the future!

I did a tour in the market last summer (summer 2015) with a bachelorette and we had the best time! Awesome food stops and the tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and super easy going.. can't remember her name unfortunately.. but it was a very tasty, interesting and different even for a bachelorette! Highly recommend, come hungry!

We had a great time with Marthanne and learned a ton about Ottawa. All of the places we visited were wonderful and we went back the next day to purchase many of the items we sampled! This tour is highly recommended!

I enjoy taking a chocolate tour in any location I visit. The Chocolate Lover's Tour offered by C'est Bon Cooking is terrific. We visited a wide variety of locations in the area of the ByWard Market. Each was very different and worthwhile.

We have lived in Ottawa for 20+ years and occasionally go to the Westboro/Hintonburg/Mechanicsville area to shop or simply experience this unique section of Ottawa. We thought we knew the area; however C'est Bon (Carmen, you were awesome!) took us to unique stores with amazing local products or items not found in a regular store. Carmen set up interviews with...
