I want to thank the staff at Unlocked! Melissa helped my son and his friends focus on escaping as they were having too much fun in the room. lol My husband and I were very impressed with the set up of the room and were kind of wishing we got to go in too. This just means we will be back with our friends to try it out.
I think this was a great place for my son to have his birthday party and would do it again. We will be back!! Thank you.

My 14 year old invited friends to the Victorian Vampire Escape Room to celebrate her birthday. They really enjoyed it. Enthusiastically, they told me how they worked together to solve clues - challenging but solvable. Very much recommend.

I organized a birthday party at Unlocked Ottawa for my husband. I wanted to do the party on a Sunday morning so that we could do brunch afterwards. As this was before they typically open, I contacted the company to ask if they were able to let us in before hours. They were extremely flexible and accommodating, opening before regular hours for our group.
The location is clean and easily accessible (lots of parking). The escape room itself was well laid out and lots of fun. We will definitely be back.

We were impressed with the room decor, the variety of puzzles in this room, and how relatively smoothly this room ran considering it is only about 3 weeks old. Great attention to detail! (We could feel the grass under our feet!) The puzzles were fun and fair. There were even a few unique ones we had not encountered before in the 41 or so escape rooms we've done thus far. The "room" is fairly large compared to most escape rooms, but smaller than that of "Our Man on Sussex". The lighting was dim for atmosphere, but not dark. We were able to see well enough for mobility, but found it a bit dim for entering codes (depending on what angle the light was coming from). This room would be suitable for pretty much everyone (no jump scares/age-appropriate back story): families with kids as young as seven or eight, those new to escape rooms or those who've played a few escape rooms before. The staff as always was wonderful and helpful. Great storytellers! Thanks for another fun family experience! We completed this room with about 5 minutes to spare.

We did a corporate event as part of our Christmas party and by all accounts everyone had a great time. We had 3 rooms booked (Shipwrecked, Victorian Vampire and The Great Elf Escape). The rooms were well planned and challenging. We would definitely go back to try other rooms.

My wife and I took our two kids (ages 11 and 7) and it was a blast. The kids couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was on the way home. The staff were super friendly and the cost was reasonable. We highly recommend this place for families and will be returning when they change up their rooms.

For our summer vacation this year, our family of three decided on a stay-cation and did a bunch of Escape Rooms in Ottawa. We completed 15 "escapes" in 10 days, and had a blast! While discussing our vacation with family/friends, I was asked to rank the rooms in terms of which were our favourites; this is difficulty as each "room" had different elements that were cool or unique. I'll review them chronologically and try my best not to give too many details that will spoil the fun of the puzzles/room. (The overall ranking was based on the gestalt of atmosphere, puzzle quality and fun factor. The lower the number the more we liked it. eg. Rank 1 out of 15, means this was our favourite. Rank 15 of 15, means this was our least favourite.
Unlocked Ottawa - Krylon Crew
This was the fourth escape room we did on vacation. We had previously done "Our Man on Sussex" at Unlocked Ottawa for my birthday a few months ago, and really loved the room. It still ranks as one of our favourites! We hadn't done Krylon Crew as it was listed as a competitive room, and we couldn't decide on how to split up our team of three to go head-to-head. But on the spur of the moment, likely because I was still riding the adrenaline high from escape room number three, I called Unlocked Ottawa and asked if was possible to do Krylon Crew cooperatively (vs competitively) as a team of three, which they said was possible. We really enjoyed this room too! We had a blast! The decor was bright and fun. Though the space was small, it didn't feel claustrophobic at all. The puzzles were fun. This is definitely an escape room you can bring your kids (maybe as young as 6 or 7) to. Our team of three managed to complete the room in 20 mins (about 25 min to spare). It was a lot of fun! Rank 6 out of 15.

Had a great time at Unlocked Ottawa! It is wonderful to have an escape room out in the west end! Myself and 3 friends went through the Spy Room which was challenging and fun! There were a variety of different puzzles that required different skills and kept us on our toes! Lovely staff, will definitely go back and try another room!

Shipwrecked. 4 adults, we worked quickly and diligently through a myriad of puzzles to find all the treasure with a handful of minutes to spare. The puzzles were intriguing but solve able to an imaginative mind. A lot of fun, well setup and well run, we are eager to try another of their rooms. A memorable adventure.

Had a lot of fun solving the mystery at Unlocked. Group of 8 friends who had never done an escape room before tackled Victorian Vampire room. We did the family version as as this was all new to us. Had a blast working together to solve it - and we did!! Booking online was a breeze as was adding a person at the last moment. Definitely need to plan ahead as this place is always booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Calvin was a great host and clearly explained everything to us. Will definitely go back again to try one of the other mysteries. Lots of parking and a bar downstairs so can easily grab a “beverage” once the mission is complete. Easy parking too. Great for birthday parties too as they have 3 levels of each game -kids,family and expert.

Hello. My friends and I (14, 15, 17) were wondering what room in Kanata would be the best for us. I have already done the Fortune room so out of the other two, which would be a nice challenge? We have also all done escape rooms before.
