Small place with very excellent selection of in house craft beer, amazing to get this good of beer in a small brew pub. Smallest I have seen. With take away.
Bad thing is, it closes at 9:00

A small brewery with a large selection and wide array of different beers. One of the best in Ottawa.

This little underground gem is everything I read about and more! It had history, tons of character, great friendly staff and best of all fantastic micro brews of various flavours! It brought my pallet to new places with ingredients like beets in beer which was out of this world for me! But all others we equally as fantastic too if you are a craft beer lover like me! I’ve told other micro brewery owners across the country about this place as a best practice place to check out for sure! Keep making us want great beer!

A very small craft brew with Absolutely incredible beer. No food.
Done as a "prohibition era" joint, it's qusit and friendly.

Microbrewery serving great beer in small but cozy bar. Friendly service, they will take the time to explain their beers and make suggestions. You can get flights of 3 or 5 beers which are great for tastings.

Don't be decided by the fact that this brewery is tiny, or that it is down a set of stairs to the basement of The Loft. They make a great selection (12 on tap) of beers at very reasonable prices. They are very unique in their flavours, incorporating cherry mash, a white milk stout, several sours, and beer aged in spirit barrels. This place is off the beaten track despite being in the heart of downtown and I highly recommend popping in for a flight or pint. Seating and space is limited. I would be prepared to stand for a bit.l if you are going at a prime drinking time.

Great little intimate speak easy feel! The charm if this place is that it makes you feel like you stumbled upon a private bar for just you and your closest friends.
The staff is friendly, attentive and helps give the bar it's vibe!
The craft beer selection is really good & I recommend the sample sizes to start to find your fave.
My personal favourite is the black sour blossom.

There's not a lot of space in this basement brewery/tavern-style bar, but there is plenty of great beer and knowledgeable, friendly brewers.

We were in Ottawa for winterlude weekend and were looking for a brew after skating the canal. Came across this place on the way back to the truck and what a find!!
Once you find your way to the prohibition style basement, you a greeted as if you had figured out the riddle! How awesome is that?
Great bartending staff, even better brews and great patrons.
Once you try their selection (which I will classify as experimental because they are so good) you are just blown away. Add on top of that, that they donate portions of a flight of beers to local charity they are a step above the rest.
Ottawa, you are spoiled to have this gem and I am humbled to have gotten to enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing......

I can't think of much more to say than what has already been said on here by others. This place is incredible, and the beer is even better. It's a very small tavern, that makes you feel like you've walked into an old "speakeasy". Such a cool atmosphere, and the staff are just great. We love going to craft breweries where we can sit back and have a conversation with the brewer. You definitely get that here and more. If you're a beer lover and you haven't dropped in at Waller Street Brewing you are definitely missing out. It's a must for us every time we are in Ottawa. Enjoy!
