Right next to the National War Memorial (Cenotaph), the tomb of the unknown soldier honors the unidentified remains of soldiers. This is the spot where everyone places their poppies at the end of the Remembrance Day Ceremonies each November 11th.

The tomb of the unknown soldier is located at the war memorial in confederation square. Guarded by Canadian troops and looked after very well. The tomb contains the body of a soldier from the battle of Vimy, a First World War Canadian victory.

No there is no parking at the site, there is publc parking nearby. Best option is to walk if stayingn at hotels downtown, or take public transit
