This bridge has space for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. You can walk from parliament hill to the Children's Musuem easily.

The view is incredible! It is worth the walk!

My advice however is thus, be careful crossing on foot! The cyclists don't pay attention as the go over.

the view is amazing!!! I would recommend travelling across it on the ottawa gray line bus for a better view rather than your car but it is worth the visit!!

One can all across the bridge. Only good view is of parliament hill. Polluting vehicles makes it difficult to walk.

The bridge is over a hundred years old and will be closed for renovations although the walking part of the bridge will remain open. It stretches between Gatineau and Ottawa. The Nationsl Gallery is at the Ottawa end of the bridge, the museum of History st the Gatineau end. There is a good sized walking path and beside it a cycling path along the bridge. You get great views of the Ottawa River and the Parliament Buildings from along the bridge but prepare for a windy walk. It is a long walk across the bridge.

Iconic bridge connecting Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. My wife and I passed by whilst touring East Canada and enjoyed the sights provided by the impressive structure. The bridge stands loud and proud and is a vital part of life.

This sturdy bridge connects you across the Ottawa river and links Ontario and Quebec province, with city of Ottawa and Gatineau on either side!

You can walk across this bridge if you want to get from Ottawa to Gatineau to visit the Canadian History Museum. It takes about a half hour or so. We made a day out of visiting the museum and then taking an Ottawa River boat cruise. Note: the cruise we took (Capital Cruises) can drop you off on either side of the river.

We saw the bridge in the distance and realised you could walk across. It has a great walking path for people and a separate one for cyclists. You get a great view of Parliament Hill.

A good walk either side of the bride along the river but need to be aware of cyclists. You walk with the cyclists not facing them as one would in traffic.Getting hit from behind did happen.
