This is the oldest standing building in Ottawa and has a fascinating history. I recommend taking the tour and then you can browse on your own afterwards.

The history of Ottawa succinctly told by the museum. It is free, small and is a quaint place to visit while visiting the canal and Ottawa locks. Staff was friendly
