We were fortunate enough to be able to fit this in in our tour. It was well worth the visit even though we're not into horses and also they were away on a tour. It was a great guide.

We were in a tour group - had a tour of the stables and small exhibit area, then out to see the horses train and practice. This was amazing, we were able to walk fairly close, I could hear the hooves and snorting of the horses. For us from the U.S. this was really a spectacular stop.

Tours this time of year are only Tuesdays & Thursdays, thrice daily, check before you plan your visit. It is a stop on the hop on hop off tour bus. You start in the museum, information about horse gifts between Canada and the queen and the royal landau is stored there. Moving on to the farrier's shop, saddle room and... More

Interesting overview of not only RCMP musical ride, but also the other responsibilities the RCMP has. Tour guide provided a good overview of the RCMP including a nice tour through the barn. RCMP officer was very accommodating taking a horse out of a stall, shows real pride!

There is a lot of information in this display...more than I expected or had time for. It gives you details about the history of the RCMP and this musical ride. We were lucky enough to see them going through drills. They also have the royal landau on display, shining to perfection over 100 years old. You can also get a... More

Went at just the right time to see the riders practice, cool! The guide walked us through the barn, met many of the horses, even a few RCMP officers, who were all very nice.

The Musical Ride (32 horses and their riders doing choreographed drills) wasn't in town when I visited but I came to see the horses in their more relaxed state. The tour is free and gives you a glimpse into the stables and other living areas of these majestic horses that measure 16 or more hands. If you are in town... More

Even though the museum is free I expected a little more . The tour guide seemed bored and spoke in a monotone . Enthusiasm and some interesting anecdotes would have helped . Sure we saw the horses in the stable and grazing and a few items from the past but that was it. I knew the show would not be... More

If you're an equestrian fan or even if you just like horses you'll be fascinated to learn about how they are trained to perform in musical rides. A short tour of about 40 mins by a knowledgeable guide and pictures and display boards will give you a wealth of information. You will be taken to view the stables and the... More
