Established in 1996, The Spa Ottawa caters to a growing market of spa goers. With 22 years experience and two locations, in Bells Corners and Kanata, guests enjoy a variety of services and treatments. We are experts in aesthetics (facial, foot, hand and body care, hair removal, tinting, makeup, artistry and mens care), hair design (colouring, texturizing and conditioning), massage (massage and stone therapy and reflexology), bridal (party pre-wedding and day of-wedding treatments and services and private social space for refreshments) and last but not least, retail products (hair and skin care, makeup, jewellery, essential oils, and salt therapy). Brand new to our Bells Corners location is Halotherapy, more commonly known as a Himalayan Salt Room. Salt Therapy is a powerful, natural treatment in a controlled air medium that simulates the natural salt cave microclimate to treat respiratory and skin conditions.

I don't always find the welcome very warm at the front desk. The prices are quite high. I found the quality of the sugaring services to be average at best, as well as the manicures and pedicures (nail polish put on very thin; noisy pedicure area; rushed services). I regularly take my daughter when she's home for first-class treatment and bonding! Sadly, regretfully, and disturbingly they have stopped serving coffee to their guests......I'm not sure they get it? I rush to get there, as I'm sure others do, and all I ask is for that one thing that says 'relax, we're here to take care of you and please you'. Coffee pleases me and relaxes me! I don't have time to grab a cup out the door, I don't have time to go through a drive-thru, I don't have time to enjoy it until I get to my destination. Please make your service whole again - let it be my choice to have caffeine at my appointment and to keep myself healthy. I am 6 months pregnant and decided to treat myself for a pedicure which was lovely. I have no complaints about the time I was there but about a day or two after my pedicure the polish chipped on my big toe and then the next day it chipped a little on another toe. I've had pedicures from this spa before and several other places and the polish always lasts at least a month if not longer before chipping. For the price I paid the polish should last. Now I am worried the 2 toes with the chips will start to chip away faster and my lasting pedicure wil be the opposite.We are sincerely sorry to hear of your last experience at The SPA Day Retreat. As a loyal guest to our Kanata location, your continuous commitment is much appreciated! We would like to assure you that your concerns regarding the polish chipping from your Pedicure is out of the ordinary. The longevity of a polish application should exceed the amount of time you have described. We invite you to join us any time for a complimentary polish application at either of our SPA locations in Ottawa. Thank-you for your review; we look forward to having you for services in the future. For today my wife booked her OxyGeneo Facial treatment which she has been waiting for a long time to replace what she earlier used microdermabrasion that is not offered anymore.
The treatment price is $170 after tax and took them to finish 20 minutes (!) and she has absolutely nothing on her face, on her skin. The “treatment” is useless I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, nor The Spa at all. The old location was full of friendly staff but not this.

We felt completed defrauded by this company. We called to book massage therapy appointments for 3 members of our family. After the massages were finished and it was time to pay, we were refused receipts for a benefits claim, because the people massaging us were not registered massage therapists, but visitors from out of country. We had to pay about $300 without benefits receipts. When we contacted the management, they acknowledged the confusion, but insisted their hands were tied, and no refund would be provided because we received services.
We will never set foot at this place again. It was our first time and last time.

To be completely honest, I don't like manicures, pedicures, or massages. So why am I giving a review on a Spa you may ask. On a whim, I decided to try a body wrap while my husband (who absolutely LOVES massages at the Spa Day Retreat) was having a 90 minute massage as part of a "Staycation".
That said, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed my Coconut and Mango 60 minute body wrap. My skin never felt so light and soft once the treatment was all done!!!! It took me a couple of days to want to shower, I didn't want to ruin how wonderful my skin felt.
Lacey was so professional. She explained the different steps along the process. She was kind and sweet and lessened my self-consciousness of being quite overweight. The old stone building is beautiful and the grounds are serene & tranquil.
I'll definitely be getting other body wrap treatments from The Spa Day Retreat, especially as the drier winter weather sets in.
As of August 2020, it was $110 Canadian for the body wrap before HST. I haven't been to other spas in Ottawa so I don't know how things compare price-wise, but it was such a positive experience.
There is ample free parking, but The Spa Day Retreat is also very accessible by public transportation.

We treated our STAFF to an OFFICE SPA DAY at this lovely spot once again. I think this is our third year in a row.
Our appointments were co-ordinated by Luisa and she did a great job. (We had 11 people and they each had 2 treatments and we had to be out by 1 p.m....so it was not easy scheduling things. )
We were greeted upon our arrival and escorted to the upstairs LOFT. Again we were allowed to use the LOFT and had some breakfast treats and juice for our staff.
Each of our girls loved their treatment and the staff who took care of them. My husband and I each had a facial with LACY and she was amazing!!! My husband said it was the best facial he has ever had!!!
I had a pedicure with a sweet girl name Mattie who was kind and gentle and nice to talk to. My feet felt amazing!
There was a Jamaican lady that did some of our girls’ body treatments and they were raving about her too!!
I actually thought that our visit this time was the best out of the 3 !
Exceptionally comfortable, professional, clean, classy and a caring environment. We want to schedule next year’s Staff SPA Day here again.

If you’re looking for a professional, calming and relaxing spa experience, the Spa retreat is the best in town! They have a variety of services for men and women and couples or besties but definitely check their salon, and facials!

Me and my girlfriend decided to treat each other to a half hour massage and nails at the spa day retreat , from the moment we arrived the lady at the front desk was so nice to us and help us to get our coats and offer us tea which it was perfect because it was a really cold day.
Our esthetician’s picked us up and brought us to change into these cozy bathrobes then got us in our rooms, the massage was so needed and our manicure was perfect we decided to pick the same color and the two esthetician’s were so friendly made our whole experience one to remember, me and my friend will definitely come back, next time full body massage and maybe pedicure.
Thank you Izabela and czarina for taking care of us.
