We were staying at the Capital Hill Hotel and we would nomally use the Qweensway but decided use the parkway instead. Couldn't believe how easy and beautiful it was. It get's you right infront of the Parliament buildings and downtown. Its seems like a brand...More

We took this parkway a couple of times while visiting Ottawa. It's very scenic, convenient to get into the city, clean, and offers a great view of the river.

This parkway is the best way to get from the west end to downtown (or vise-versa). It's not as fast as the Queensway (Highway 417) so avoid if time is an issue, but it's certainly one of the most scenic drives in Ottawa!

We hired a bike in Ottawa and it was by far the best way to get around and see why the city has to offer. the Parkway is picturesque with a lot to see during your ride so remember to get your eyes open.

This 4-lane, divided roadway connects Ottawa's west end to the downtown area. It is very scenic, following the Ottawa River. I wouldn't call it a highway, because it winds along the shore and has a modest speed limit. You will find pleasant stop off points...More

We went biking along theses well kept paths and it was beautiful. Between the forest and the river it was a very relaxing and enjoyable bike ride.

Whenever we go to west end Ottawa we try to take the Parkway. This scenic route always offers fresh vistas and is a very relaxing way to traverse the west end of the city. There's always something to see: geese, rapids, bike trails, more geese....More

The bike paths along the Sir John A parkway run along the Ottawa River and this is one of the most scienic and safest bike paths. Just watch out for people and dogs who stray in front of the bikes approaching them from the back!!

It is a nice place to walk in winter yes. But you will not see as much life as you will in the warmer months. Be extra careful not to go on the water in winter though. It is a river with moving water and at least a few... More
