I would strongly recommend a trip down Sussex Drive to see the house of the Prime Minister of Canada and the Governor General of Canada. Because of the trees which block the view the Prime Minister's House is not clearly seen, however, the Governor General's...More

If you are lucky (or the cops are a little off) you can as we did get caught inside the motorcade. This is cool and terrifying as the former occupantt bought some intimidating Black SUVs

There's no public access to 24 Sussex and you can barely make out structures from the street in the summer. Trees and shrubs in the way. Peer through the fence, wave to the PM, and then go visit Rideau Hall and grounds across the street.

The Official Prime Minister's Residence is enclosed by a large gate guarded by police officers. Don't visit the Prime Minister, visit his neighbour the Governor General.
