Beautiful park and nice walking/biking trail around Dow’s Lake. There is an agricultural museum that you can also visit.

Great array of trees and plants. Pet friendly. Paths accessible by bike or walking, and there's lots to explore.

The trail along the canal at the end of the arboretum is passable during the winter, and makes for a lovely short walk from the locks at the University to Dow's lake.

In the arboretum, there are trees from all over the world on top of native ones. The best time of year to visit the Exprimental farm grounds is in late spring when the lilacs and the crab apple trees are in bloom as well as the myriad tulips and other spring-blossoming bulbs.

I got the impression that you could bring your dog on leach, but we got turned away at the administration!!! What a shame, after a 25min drive, paying for parking and all. I have a VERY well behave shitzu and small terrier both on leach. We were ready with dogpoop bags, leash everything! And the staff was not the kindest so it made it worst! Not going back.

Great location during the height of Fall colours! Prime area for some spectacular photos along the water and great views. Pleasant walk, although can be strenuous if you are not used to hills.

This is a beautiful area to walk, but there are only 15 free parking spots at the site. You have to pay and walk quite a distance if you park nearby. Why is the government so cheap?

As a photographer I am amazed by this environment. Whether for photographers or general nature enthusiasts, this is a wonderous place. Beautiful scenes to relax in, amazing flora to photograph from the near or far.

Usually late April. Depends on the weather. Sometimes early May. In the Arboretum you will also see Magnolias.

One review mentioned this as a great lace for camping. But I can find no information about this elsewhere. Does anyone know of camping in the area?

There's no camping at the Arboretum. I don't know where someone got that idea.

Anyone know if there are any public washrooms in the Arboretum? And if so, where they are located?

Public restrooms are located in one of the office buildings in the parking lot (the one furthest south, if I recall). I'm not sure of the hours but on a Sunday in May there were only open until 4:00 p.m.
