Kanata and the greater Ottawa area has a lot of great talent and this little gallery gives them a chance to exhibit. The quality of work varies considerably, but they have shown large pieces that I would have loved to have in my house and regret not buying. I like to stop by whenever I go to the library in... This is just a community art gallery, not somewhere you would go for expensive or well-known artists. If you're there for the ice rink, library, or community centre, then browse around, but if you're a tourist to the area, then this is not a "tourist attraction" (unless you're looking for a piece of local art as a souvenir...)

Interesting to wander through but unless you know any of the local artists I'm not sure you would make a special trip for this.. displays change and there are usually themes. Not just paintings but mixed media, fabric art etc too. Paintings can be purchased. It is in the same Mlacak Arena building as the ice rink, local councillors office... More

Stopped in out of curiosity and quite honestly its hard to believe they call this an art gallery. Housed in a skating rink and library the gallery shows art that is just about what you would expect to see in a grade 8 highschool art class Ok if you like flower paintings and cutsy little old lady work but the...
