This museum is simply packed with so many interesting details about the island. I spent a very happy hour or more viewing the exhibits, and the museum staff member was more than happy to answer my questions.

Don't miss visiting this small museum! Lots of interesting displays. My husband enjoyed speaking at length with the knowledgeable staff member about island history

This is where you will get a sense of the history and geology of Pelee Island. You can read newspaper stories of teachers. skating across the lake either coming or going across the 40 mile distance. There are stories about sleighs of produce hitting a hole in the ice and the disaster that ensues. You can read all the names of the island's lighthouse keepers and learn about the one who received a gold watch from Ottawa for his bravery in saving two ships that went aground between the island and the mainland. This centre tells about the ship wrecks, the flora and the fauna - just about every topic. There are lots of displays. It's a place you must visit.

the best part of the museum is the curator who spend time telling stories and answering questions both before and after our exploration of the exhibits. Like many small museums the displays are not at all high tech and are somewhat dated in their presentation which in some ways adds to the charm. Lots of history about the Island and about Ontario. interesting information about Canada's historic relationship with the US. Overall worth a visit.

Kim, the curator, was a wealth of knowledge and helped us to truly understand the history of Pelee Island. The displays, although dated and quite rustic were very interesting.

Good place to start to get the history of the island. Take the van tour to really get the full back story.

Although the staff were happy and friendly I was shocked at how small this place is. I was hoping for a lot more because of all the history this island has but we found very little.

This is a small but historically interesting cultural centre / museum. There is a diverse wealth of information to be gleaned, from early settlers, to the illegal alcohol trade, geology and wildlife / fauna.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was expecting more artisan products/local artists.
It was more like a craft store.
Many homemade and knitted items.
Again, take a step and look around...there us not much to visit on Pelee, but nature at its best.
