This is a very nice place for a picnic. The park is large with lots of shade, playing areas and beautiful views of the river!

The Heights has a wonderful view of the valley. We strolled all about enjoying nature at its best. The memorial reminded us of the struggles we as a people traveled towards nationhood.

What a lovely park. Nice for a day trip for the family. Lots of history here at the park, worth spending an afternoon here. For history buffs, lots from the war of 1812-14 to see as well.

Not only is the park beautiful and have one of the best views of Queenston heights but it also has many plaques for those that love history. Great for a stroll and bring a camera. Would go in summer for best photos.

I recommend bringing your own grill and arrive early enough to claim a picnic table - there are lots of tables, but not all are located ideally. There are covered pavilions, but often large groups will book these in... More
