It is so nice to have this beautiful park right in Point Edward/Sarnia. We grabbed a sub and took it down by the lake. It is kept up beautifully and the beach is so nice. There is plenty of room to enjoy a walk or for the kids to play at the playground. The animal farm is a bonus as... More

Canatara park, is a pet friendly park, that allows you to walk, jog, bike, or drive through it. Ther is an animal farm, a beach picnic areas, for large and small groups. Pavillions for bad weather picnics, and it is free.

Enjoy the beautiful beaches, walk the trails, skate on the lake or gather for a summertime family gathering.

Canatara is by far the biggest and best Park in Sarnia. Located on Lake Huron, there are plenty of amazing beaches. My favorite thing to do on summer evenings is go to Canatara and watch the sun set over the USA horizon. There is also a Petting Zoo and multiple playgrounds.

It's an okay park, but certainly showing its age. Pretty much everything is falling apart, including the roads, except the very nice Animal Farm which is managed by Seaway Kiwanis and the local Humane Society. The city needs to show the rest of the park some much-needed love.

I have been to Canatara Park a few times and explored the park. It is a great place to spend the day, there are lots of things to do for the family and it is a good place to walk your dog. On hot days there are a couple of beaches to go and enjoy the water and cool off.

Canatara Park is showing its age. Roads are very rough(bumpy) the posts along the road are deteriorating. Bathrooms throughout are in good shape. Now that being said the beach and water is great. Picnic tables are all around the park. There are gazebos that you can rent for the day. There is a animal farm in this park.

Have visited since childhood. Still a beautiful place to go. A wide variety of activities from walks in the woods, children's farm, sand beaches and wide park space to bbq and have social gatherings in. The park is an anchor for so many cultural and sporting activities in Sarnia and never looses its popularity. In the summer it hosts live... More

Nice sandy beach. Lots of parkland and trees for shade and family fun and picnics. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms open in summer. Bandshell with summer concerts most evenings.

Living next to the park has been a great experience. We have everything you'd want in the summer - great beach, lots of walking trails, plenty of picnic space. The staff keep the place running clean and green. Lots of animals to see at the Farm, especially the baby geese and ducks.
