Parking is a little rough as the parking lot is small. The falls were a nightmare to get to as the climb down was insanely slippery. The falls are nice for sure but after I had to climb up the hill to get back out and that was dangerous also due to the mud, leaves and loose rocks. Honestly pretty dangerous to go off trail there. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were people that get trapped down there or get hurt descending or ascending that hill.

Gorgeous spot, with a short, but well maintained set of trails. Parking lot is a little small for the numbers of people who come here. Wish you could access the bottom of the ravine to get a better shot of the waterfall.

Very pretty with lots of character. Many different angles for great photography. The attached pictures will give you an idea.

The falls were as beautiful as ever, complimented by the lovely old mill and house. But the trail behind the mill was busy and the route down the slope to the bottom of the gorge was slippery and dangerous. There was a load of trash dumped along the path and the swimming hole with rope swing is no longer there (private property signs were posted).

My son, 8, and I hiked, swam and explored the area today. It was incredible. We parked, for free, at the mill and then spent just over an hour there. We started along the path and kept checking different paths down until we found one we were both comfortable with. We wandered through the river and got to the waterfall for a swim. This is a place we will visit over and over.

THESE PATHS ARE DANGEROUS, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED FALLING . Please exercise caution, common sense and do not push your abilities. There are many ways down, so find one that is right for you and you will enjoy the falls from below instead of taking a trip to the hospital.

This place is pretty cool for doing some day hiking. There's a trail to get down to the falls or you can risk it and try the ropes going down the small cliffs.

The bottom of the falls is beautiful and the pool is nice to swim in. There's some kind of old mining tunnel along one side of thats neat to explore.

The lower falls are cool but harder to get down to and require some steep off trail hiking.

DO NOT TRY TO CLIMB DOWN TO THE FALLS!!!
It is extremely dangerous
I am an experienced climber and this was awful and both my friend and I were fearful for our lives at several points!
The drop is probably around 30m high and the rocks slip down, it is really not worth risking your life when there is so many safer falls to visit nearby :(

The falls were beautiful but was a little hard to get to. We hiked the long way and went past the falls and hiked back up along the river. The lower falls was beautiful and hiked past it to see the upper falls. You can see the upper falls from the top. We did find the rope on the way back and came back this way which saved a lot of time from the way that we went. Would definietly recommend going to this fall if you are in the area.

Come and view the historic foundation of Decew House. This was Laura Secord's destination when she set out on her celebrated trek from Queenston over the rough terrain of the Niagara Escarpment in June of 1813 to warn the British military of an impending American attack. The foundation of DeCew House has been preserved as a memorial and a park site. Take the time to stroll down the road to see Morningstar Mill. Take a hike and view the mill and the old homestead.

We stumbled on this place recently and were struck by the beauty. It was just beginning fall and the colour was muted. The water reflected the forest green. It is not a large area but strenuous for walking. the falls and historical buildings are the highlight.
