We had a complimentary guided tasting for 8 that was included in my Estate membership. [Free right now with a purchase of a case of wine]. Kelly, our guide for our tasting, was very knowledgeable and friendly, one of the best guides I've had:) I have been on many tastings at local Niagara wineries, and I still learned a few new things and it was entertaining. I went with some art friends, and Olivia, the manager, allowed our group to do some watercolour painting and sketching in the ballroom after our tasting. It had snowed in the morning, so the fresh snowy scenes out the window were nice inspirations for our sketching/painting, as well as the art hanging in the ball room.

Great winery. The atmosphere is gorgeous here, with a super patio area and a beautifully laid out tasting area inside. We have eaten here once, and the food was very good, although not particularly big portions. The real strength of this winery is the quality of its’ wines, and across the spectrum. We will definitely return.

we went here on a rainy Monday. We were hoping for lunch and wine-tasting. The place was quite desolate, but there was a nice young woman who helped us with two flights of wines for a tasting. Some of the wines were excellent. Their Baco Noir, their Chardonnay and the Riesling were the ones that we liked the best. Sadly, the cafe wasn't open.....

We made a special side trip to the Henry of Pelham winery while on our vacation in Niagara Falls. It was well worth the drive. We had an excellent lunch in their on-site café, then had a tour of the winery and vineyards with a highly knowledgeable guide. After the tour, we had a nice tasting of a number of their wines. All in all, a very interesting and entertaining couple of hours. They are very friendly people and their wines are quite good.

3 years ago, we had a glass of Baco noir old vines at the Keg in St Catharines and Henry of Pelham was definitely a winery to visit on my next trip. We are back with somes friends and Baco noir old vines from Henry of Pelham was his first wine tasted in our Niagara trip ( again at the Keg). They don't take reservations, it is on a base of first come, first serve. We showed up on Tuesday at the end of the day. They have a patio ,covered with tables. We decided to share a flight of 3 wines per couples ( price is $10pp - ) . Our friends went for of course Baco noir old vines, but enjoy the one of the Speck Family. I heard a lot about their sparkling wine and try the Cuvée Catherine Rosée. They had some left over from the week end ( we learned that most of the wineries opened reserve or best bottles during the week end - much more traffic than during the week)- the wine was flat, not too many bubbles left but I can see that it was a good wine and bought a bottle anyway, We appreciated their cab/merlot but bought the speck family version. All our wines were served in RIedel type glasses with a bag of popcorn. Really enjoyed our visit. Our friend was an happy man- going home with baco noir -

We love stopping here in part because of the wine but also because of their cafe and picnic tables. The food from the cafe is excellent but you can also bring your own food items such as a baguette and cheeses to eat with a glass of their wine. My wife loves the chardonnay and I love the Speck family reserve baco noir. This is one of our must visit spots each time we come to NOTL.

Different times, same great experience. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon as they weren’t taking reservations. We were welcomed and the staff explained the tasting. We took our flights outside that had many options where to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. A three piece band was playing, they sounded great make our experience even better. This winery is a must on any visit to the Bench.

We had been there 3 times before with no issues. This time the experience was very very awful. The employees were not welcoming at all (after all we are paying for their service). The place had a racist vibe felt a bit like we were not welcome there. We paid for our wine and wanted to drink it while we do our picnic in the grounds (like we have done many times) but this time they said we can’t, so we respectfully obeyed. We did our picnic then they came to us to check if we were drinking the wine (I mean common we are not kids). There was a girl that spoke Spanish that said that apparently we were being rude in Spanish which wasn’t true at all. We were speaking in Spanish trying to understand the rules. Anyway the point is we are never ever coming back to this place. It’s too bad cause the grounds are nice and so is the wine. But o guess good things come to an end

We were a group of three and set up our own wine tour. We visit the region 3 or 4 times per year. This was the fifth of six stops for this visit. This appears to be a very substantial operation for a family winery - this was our first visit to this winery. While there were COVID 19 precautions in place customer service was not impacted. Tasting was conducted indoors. The tasting fees are reasonable. A great facility for tastings and very helpful staff. They were very knowledgeable with respect to the red wines we tasted. We were directed to this winery by others to try the Baco Noir varietal wines. Recommendation for Baco Noir was spot on - we purchased several bottles. We did not purchase any of the other wines tasted, but it was a very good experience. The only negative is that one staff member did not wear a mask while walking in the facility for a very brief period of time. That was VERY disappointing given the concerted effort of every other staff member there and the staff at all of the other wineries we visited on this day, to comply with the stipulated regulations.
