This is the Royal Henley Park.

This is were they rowing. Everybody here like that.

We can walk and enjoy the bodies of water.

There is a Martin Pond

There are benches to sit!

There is a small bridge and a long one.

On the long beach, we can go on the other side.

A must see!

Lovely quiet park. Fine for walking with your children or your dog. Some portions of paths are accessible for those using walkers or wheelchairs. However, do not let your dog off-leash. Despite some of the other reviews here saying there is an informal "off-leash" component of this park, there is not. You can be fined for having your dog off-leash and the park is well-patrolled for this.

Royal Henley Park is a neighbourhood park with playground equipment that can be accessed through Jaycee Park or through the public pathway on Royal Henley Boulevard. There is a footbridge that takes you from Jaycee Gardens Park into Port Dalhousie where you can watch the rowers practice. When the Royal Henley Regatta is on, the bridge is located at the finish line so you can watch the sights and sounds of the races.

Its a famous place to watch rowing competitions. Regatta has been here for many years, and carries on its tradition.
Dragon Boat races are also held here, and they are fun to watch. Not many experts, just very determined teams!

We stopped here on the drive from Niagara Falls to Toronto Pearson Airport. The park was nicer than the airport. There really wasn't a lot to describe in late November. There was plenty of space to walk and get fresh air, nice waterfront, and friendly people - just a nice break from the tourist areas in Niagara Falls and the hustle and bustle in Toronto.

While in the summer this Henley hosts rowers and houses their equipment on the east end, all year long it is a great little park with a treed section that slopes to a broad meadow along Martindale pond. A trail runs the entire circumference and, in the spring and summer, provides a shady walk among willows, water lilies and cattails. An informal "off-leash" park, you will often encounter friendly dogs and their owners enjoying the open yard by the parking area and the walkways through the greenery. Reached by a single bridge,Rover is unlikely to take off too far.

The regatta is a yearly thing in St. Catharines. It costs to get in but the proceeds go back the the local rowing.

Beautiful historic park with a nice beach area and docks with lighthouses. If you like rowing, this is the place to be! Cute restaurants too!

Son was competing in sculling this year and there were several other teams from our home town entered as well. Spent an enjoyable couple days on the grounds. $10 each entry fee per day or you can pay a flat rate for all 3 days.
Site could use a little more regular cleaning and I hope they changed out the port-o-potties each day.
