Definitely a must for any Canadian family. Great tourist spot to visit and take pictures. Convenient location, and never busy. You can take as long or as little as you want to explore everything.

Great thing to see and definitely a mistake if your in the area. One of those road side attractions that really need to be seen to be appreciated. Not much of a view besides the nickle itself but located right beside dynamic earth so you can definitely make a day out of it.

My three year old loved it here! He didn't appreciate the scientific or learning aspects yet (but I did) - but he loved the play areas inside and out! The outdoor space was impressive and safe and the indoor "mine" was a blast. More seating for the parents waiting would be nice but otherwise, a great set up. We will... More

Exciting to actually ride an elevator down into a mine, and listen to the guide describe the workings and how the ores are mined.

Visited the nickel mine and centre as a day trip. Was very interesting to go into the mine and see the old mining equipment versus the new. The centre has lots of neat activities as well

the attraction was very interesting, but we only saw it outside The actual Discovery Centre was closed, and the mine was closed for the season Its a perfect spot to take pictures. You cant go to Sudbury and NOT go to the BIG Nickel

We seem to have really bad luck trying to get to Dynamic Earth, but the Big Nickel is fun to see as it is such a noteworthy Canadian landmark.

If your interested in, seeing where mining evolved from and the roots of Sudbury, this is definitely an interesting tour :)

You can not imagine the look on my nephew's face when he was "practice drilling" ... just like the real drilling his uncle used to do ... priceless
