Accessible Mid town boardwalk
Sep. 2020 • Couples
A pleasant place to stroll along the lake towards Science North. Woods, water, safe walking path... what’s not to like? And the path is wheelchair and stroller accessible from the parking lot. They put in a very long switchback ramp that takes you right to the water. But be aware that the boardwalk itself has lots of inclines and turns.

Great walk!

What a great place to see in Sudbury. The path is not flat - nothing in Sudbury is : ) BUT the "hills" are not big at all. A great boardwalk what can be a very peaceful and beautiful lake. When the wind picks up or boats zoom by it's a bit noisy. There are three beaches, the main one very sandy and a great hidden gem!

Great place for a visit and a walk

As always our walk on the walkway and boardwalk was great. We walked from the park to Science North and back and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great views of the lake and nice beaches

Great spot to go and beat the heat. Lots of beaches on this lake, nice paths to wander around and relax. No services or place to buy anything, though.

Great place for a beautiful walk, even in winter. Super vantage of the picturesque Ramsey Lake. I had remembered Sudbury as not being particularly pretty...but this vantage will cure me of that misconception!

GREAT PATH FOR A SCENIC STROLL
Oct. 2019
I was 1st here in 2016 with my cousin and we rode our bicycles along the path, enjoyed the garden at one end, sat and watched some sail boats and just remember it being very scenic.

My daughter and I took a supper time stroll this October just to relax during a 3 day visit to get some of her business taken care of. It was perfect for de-stressing and we loved all the fall colors, sat in the gazebo chatting, appreciated that the path has lights for this time of year to alleviate the early darkness, used the washrooms close to the band shell...pleasant area for a diversion from a busy day. We parked at Science North and walked past the now wildly painted old hospital building.

Great walk for fall colours
Oct. 2019
Stopped at the park while visiting the city for the first time. Beautiful park with a gorgeous boardwalk from Science North and a ways along the lake. Very quiet on a weekday for fall colour viewing. Gorgeous area. Parking lot across from the park so have to walk a bit and downhill or can park at Science North free after Labour Day. Several places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Has amphitheatre in the summer which would be nice for concerts.
