Heading east from Thunder Bay, we discovered this beautiful stop with a truly inspiring tribute to Terry Fox, the cancer victim who attempted to run across Canada on one artificial leg. Great views of the lake as well.

This is moving to say the least. The government did a first class job of creating this memorial to a courageous young Canadian hero. I'm truly glad we stopped.

They did a terrific job with this monument and they put it in the best possible place. The view is breathtaking and worthy of a place of remembrance for Terry Fox. It is within a few km of where his run stopped.

Beautiful memorial to an amazing young Canadian! Amazing view of Lake Superior.. Visible from the highway, but must stop and see for yourself. Good camping close by
