A small, but mighty art gallery. I happened to visit on a 'free' admission day, but normally the suggested donation for visiting is $5. The gallery has a small gift shop with a variety of amazing items, worth the visit! Plenty of free parking directly across from the building.

Lots to see in the three gallery rooms. We also loved the handcrafted items in the gift shop- mostly jewelry and books. Free parking was a bonus.

I attended the Gallery this afternoon and was really glad I took the time.
The Michael Anderson exhibit of carvings was extraordinary.
Etchings by George Raab were wonderful and spectacular.
John Hartman's renderings were certainly thought provoking about " A view from Collins."
This is a truly must see Gallery offering.

Artful experience with well curated small exhibits. Most seem largely acquired within last two decades. Front desk staff gave me a good explanation of the gallery. I understand the gallery will be moving to the water fron in the future. A larger home will give this collection it deserves.

The Thunder Bay Art Gallery is tucked on to a piece of Confederation College's Campus. It is a must see for any one who appreciates the Arts. The gallery is home to many works of Aboriginal Artists as well there are installations travelling through all year. If you are visiting Thunder Bay the Art Gallery is a must see!

I wasn't sure about stopping by this gallery, but I had a bit of time by myself after arriving in Thunder Bay before the rest of my family arrived, so I checked it out. I'm very glad I did. This is a small museum, as another reviewer noted. There are three gallery rooms, one of large/moderate size and two smaller rooms, as well as a few outdoor sculptures and a small display in the entrance.Viewing all the exhibits and visiting the gift shop took a little less than an hour.

But, even though my visit was short, I got a lot out of it. The exhibits complemented each other beautifully - when I went, there was a mix of media on display (paintings, stained glass, masks), and a mix of styles (traditional West Coast First Nations style, contemporary political aboriginal art). And, the gift shop had prints and other small items from similar artists who were not on display. If you like First Nations art, you won't be disappointed. Is it worth a trip to Thunder Bay just to come here? Ok, probably not. But if you're in the area anyway, it's definitely worth an hour of your time and the $3 admission.

This small art gallery is a tribute to its founders. The gift shop is tastefully done and the public room is a great venue for intimate gatherings like showers. Very talented students were featured when I visited and the whole experience was very worthwhike

Thunder Bay Art Gallery has a huge space, so set aside at least an hour or two to see everything. Their exhibits are well chosen, meticulously set up and well chosen. The space accommodates larger pieces as well, so the sky is the limit as far as what you will see. The staff and volunteers are remarkably friendly and welcoming, as they are art lovers too. The location is easy to find and parking is simple. Artisan work is available in the gift shop, so this is definitely a destination for unique and local gift buying. Recommended!
